Hokatika,Not a calais wagon(Berlina)GTS mags.It is a factory turbo.and yes a gentleman in a wheel chair did own it(appox 19 years ago)was being restored last I saw it.And that was about 6-8 months ago.About 380,000 ks on here now.

Kris might have to confirm/deny that though
RIPV8s was sold as NZ new, an Auckland dealer brought in 12 turbo vls in different configurations, my car was marketed as a Berlina Sport. factory MX7 5 spd, white in colour
Have my tag info somewhere will try and find it.

17-06-10, 19:21 GMT+10#31 if you run the vin number though Kris is says
8K198GJ128998L
Your car is a Holden SL/Executive Commodore Sedan
From the factory it was equipped with the Turbocharged Nissan 3L RB30ET producing 150kw at the flywheel.
It was produced in 1987 at the Melbourne plant with a serial number of 28998

Do you happen to know which dealer?
I know afew long service guys at a couple dealerships and have always wanted to see if they have the records for the 12 sold...highly unlikely though

Sport was an HDT name for there cars.Strange they would market that car in NZ,Was it taged?Or did GMH try and jump in on the hype?
Tag info would be great as I have an HDT register,Also year and month of production if possible.(cuts down looking at over 1800 cars)in the VL range.

03-07-10, 21:21 GMT+10#36 ive seen a blue-ish grey berlina sedan, genuine mx7/a8 turbo model. was in kaikoura BP last time a came through. was on standard steel rims with them ugly vl hubcaps. i went and checked it out and the guy came out and we had a chat. i had a look under his bonnet and was all genuine. not even intercooled or anything, stocker. the guy was an elderly man that said he bought it in 94. had sheep skin covers on the seats and all.
