sounds good, thanks for that VLT88.
I spoke to wade cams today and decided to go with 1147c, which is 232in 232ex which can handle up to 30psi boost.
Need someone now to put up a video of their VLT with 1147c installed...
cheers

there talking about danny b's gold vl not josips one as u have stated
pretty sure the 1147 has bigger duration, but the tx2 open/closes higher at some stage??
Id you want a monster cam best of calling clive cams.. i was gonna go a clive but opted against it, now i got u custom crow cam that makes an 1147 look stock on paper
ok so i installed the 818 into my manual vlct running the standard manual turbo ecu, not sure if the computer can handle it or i've done something wrong but currently the car will not idle for very long or if at all and i hold my foot at qtr throttle to find the vacuum is steady at zero and im unsure why the engine is working so hard.. also i put my foot in a little more but the car cannot actually rev. will only go to (tacho reading) of 500rpm but sounds like its revving alot harder than that.. any help would be appreciated haha
cheers.
Your vacuum is at 0 due to the manifold pressure, not the actual turbo. Because of the camshaft your manifold pressure increases and you'll notice at idle before the cam was installed usually the boost gauge would rest at -20, but due to the cam it now sits at -15 to -10 and is constantly hunting at idle. That parts normal, the other thing is even though you might be able to get the 818 to run with a stock ecu, whats the point when your not gonna get the most out of it?
You need an aftermarket ecu with the 818 to get the most out of it, and for it to run efficiently and avoid headaches.
yeah i understand its not the actual turbo, i no the theories behind cams needing more air and fuel n all that stuff but my main concern is that no matter how hard i put my foot on the throttle or play with the throttle cable, it will not rev.. the tacho is showing a max of 500rpm but the engine seems to be revving high than that.
d.w i was planning on running this ecu for about 2 weeks before i book a nistune.
i had the timing adjusted to where it sat without the cam in the car and worked my way up but it just seemed too lumpy for the car.. it may idle for roughly 20secs then die but yea way over the top lumpy for the cam that it is.. i've been reading that they can be run on the standard comp though which has me well confused haha
anyone free in the southeast subs wanna come have a look at it today? haha
