If you have the taxi number the time and where it happened, thats all you need, they have to keep a log of everything.. pass it over to your insurance company and let them work it out amongst themselves..

But if he admits to it there's enough proof there. Anyway if he doesn't pay up(the total cost) threaten him to take him to court. Then I'm sure he'll pay. I am with RACV and when I was hit in my brothers car, I went straight to the police reported it(Drive drove off and I got the plates of said vehicle). I then contacted insurance company and gave them all the details and they handled the rest and there was no money from my end that went into the cliam. This is why we pay for insurance mate. Call them and discuss, there are no better people to chase for money than insurance companys.

if you have the driver or owner details send them the 1st letter of demand don't waste time chasing people on the phone, it can actually get you in trouble or just nowhere at all start the letter of demand process asap like my signature says this isn't rocket surgery Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ok update, so the guy finally decided to make a claim through his insurance and was able to give me a quote number and who he was insured with.. i then called his insurance company (shannons) and they told me they need to inspect the vehicle and the damage done to asses the quote, now im a little stressed as i'm not sure if my car needs to be 100% legal for this viewing, currently my car is sitting on 19s and the tire diameter is 235/40.. im not sure if these are legal or not? or does it even matter? but in the accident, the rim was damaged and the price for a genuine HSV gto rim is $915.82 so i wanna make sure i can get that replaced or fixed.. any help would be appreciated! cheers again guys
