amen to that ^^.. 2 nights ago a car was stolen by four 16 yearolds,, they lost control on a straight road ended up in a ditch and flipped multiple times and 1 was thrown from the car.. badluck i say.. ill rather see my car wrapped around a pole with the cunt still in it so i can chuckle and know they got what was coming

WAS a nice place, i loved groing up in the northern suburbs, now its become a joke. i live in botanika park, most ppl in the northern suburbs will know that its a nice small new estate with alot of well behaved ppl etc. and i have had my car stolen once (when i had the ss), had my skyline egged twice. now my car always sits in the garage and getting a bollard put in late next week hopefully, and already have 2 hidden surveillance cameras. cant be too careful.

I live in epping, just down from the CFA fire station, within 3 weeks of moving in, we had our TV knocked off WHILE MUM AND MY SISTER WERE ASLEEP UPSTAIRS!! I was at my mrs place in dandy and dad was away on business. What if he knew that and came upstairs....well id be in prison for murder but thats beside the point. ****s rough now days

Same here, live in Botanica Park. Used to be nice and peaceful but nowadays I see people walking the streets and all these cars just seem to be coming into my street which is a dead end street. Drug use at the park at the centre in broad daylight. ****en cops won't do a thing about it, just drive past and turn a blinde eye. I'm ****en sick of seeing peoples car windows get broken by little thugs who steal or worse yet, break windows for the thrill of it, cars getting egged non stop and what the fudge is it with people breaking bus stop and pay phone windows? Every bus stop window along Plenty Road was broken and along Mill Park Lakes every pay phone seemed to be broken. But worst of all was seeing some morons play destruction derby at that barry road park in thomastown, decided to go for a walk with the mrs one night at about 7-8pm and these morons managed to bypass the fence and drive and dig the park up. stolen cars being smashed into each other and these thugs leaving the scene once cops rock up, driving the cars over the bridge that takes you over the freeway and dumping the cars at the old golf course/ humphreys hill. I wish the police would be more prompt when called, it seems when you call up and complain about someone hooning they are there within seconds, when the old lady across the road had someone try break in they took for ever to come down. Not nice to an eldery lady who recently lost her husband. Agree with AFG-WPN. When I was growing up this area was good. Shame it's all gone to **** now.

Lalor / Thommo used to be much much worse...going back 10 years ago Make it as hard as you possibly can for these ****ers that are stealing cars Security Tips for living in The Northern Suburbs.. (and no im not joking).. - Keep it Locked up both the car and the garage - Have an alarm both on car and in the garage - Club Lock is a simple, cheap and quite effective - Cover the car up - old bed sheets, car cover etc.. You neva know who is looking when you open the roller door - (and keeps the dust off bonus!!) - If you have another car, park it directly behind ur pride and joy either inside or outside the garage or both!! - Dont Advertise it! ( I think this is the most important).. Its better to have a small handful of trusted mates knowing what you have rather than it common knowledge around melbourne, You never know what gets said and to who and before you know it ur baby is gone. Personalised plates also are an easy way for would be thieves to identify ur pride and joy - This ties in with "Advertising" If ur gonna ebay / sell parts, and they have to be picked up, never ever allow your car / stuff to be in sight. I know this is harsh, but I know people that have sold stuff via ebay shown these strangers from ebay through the garage and only weeks later had their car / parts/ stuff stolen.. Better to be safe than sorry I say !!! Cheers!! MPRBT
