Its like a teflon paste. Not sure on the number of it though. Doesn't set hard like the yellow hydraulic sealant

pump unleaded will swell the hose and harden it eventually. There are chemicals in the fuel that react with the rubber, speedflow actually issued a warning about this a few years ago, not sure if they changed the hose composition or not since then ill assume not due to numerous blends of the same fuel across the country, but i had the same problems with the pushlock and "weeping". Its nothing to do with the installation. Also, the hose will eventually weep fuel odours, but its not a dangerous issue, more an annoyance. I havent seen the same thing happen with the braided, but given the outer sheath of steel you probably wont notice the hose hardening underneath and the fittings required seem to prevent any fuel weep simply by design because theres a fair path to travel before any "escapes" Nothing wrong with 400 series hose BTW, and dont mix/match fitting/hose brands, because theyre made to different tolerances and designed to fit specific brands. The ONLY way to ensure the lines outlive you and to solve any issues with different fuels reacting, is to use the teflon lined stuff, which will take you the rest of your life to pay it off Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
