Nope, never made 387, not too sure where those figures came from. The car had only ever made 372rwkw on 30.5 psi. Only ever ran 130mph. The night the car ran 10.33 the car only ran 27 psi. The night we were at Calder together, where you had convertor issues and mine backfired in the burnout, due to coil failure and we packed it up early, the car was making 370 odd.
I have two regrets:
- Not having rods in that motor, because the car would have been pushed much harder, and
- Never running a full pass with the cars full potential.
Oh well, live and learn, and now time to move on to bigger and better things.
When will you be at Heathcote next?

Trying to get there asap mate! ill see how it goes. I see ur going down this weekend, with the new setup i presume?
Yeh same with me, i wish my car had rods. will do soon enough, just waiting in line for jason atm, but once its got a bulletproof bottom end, will make a world of difference!
love it when threads turn into a bitch fight lol.....
gas747 and sux gas u guys run a dual stage or just let it have it? I find that if u wind the boost on when u have a lot of rpm and speed u don't get backfire issues, u guys ever played with this?? let us know
My car doesnt backfire unless I touch it (Yes i know, thats why im banned)... But then again my car could use a tune its only been umm 7 years lol.
But besides that, hasnt been an issue!
Yeh I know. im seriously tempted to drive the VL most days to work, did 450kms and cost me $23.60!!! The HSV is a killer on fuel! But then if something breaks on the VL its gonna cost me a lot more lol
i dont no man you should proble look into selling the hsv and getting something on gas to use as a tow car cause if you are going to get those new living arangments and do get serious with the gas then you will need it you no
