Ended up getting paid out......so i am happy about that. am now in the process of getting my wagon back on the road, which involves gettgin someone to have a look at the gearbox. Am taking it to Musca Auto's to get it checked over. Anyway dealt with them before......only taking it there cos a mate took his state-o there and it was quick turn around, plus he works with the cousin of the owner. But yeah if anyone has had experience with them let me know.' Cheers

That's awesome. Except the insurance company now owns it.

yeha no idea where it was found. Scabs police station called me, so I'm assuming somewhere in that area. Apparently its in decent nick, just a big of a messed up front bumper. Haven't seen it yet but they will be dropping it back at mine. Have emailed RAC to see what they want to do with it after forensics have had their way. Never in a million years did I think it would turn up again, let alone in WA and complete. Fully expected it to be over east and chopped up for parts.

but seriously, does the insurance company not own it now?

Well I'm pretty certain it belongs to RAC now, after all they did pay me out for it. Just have to wait until they get back to me so they can tell me what needs to be done / offer it to me nice and cheap so steve has an LS2 that i can clearly make a profit on.

yeah its a shame it wasnt found after being written off. They'd still probably offer you a buyback, where an LS2 could be had lol. Do you want it back? they are nice cars, but **** owning something that some dirty **** had stolen and done whatever he pleased in. Pull it apart and look for stuff in the cabin, you might come up lucky, people that steal cars tend to have other things illegally too. Like airvents, under seats in the boot etc.

nah i dont really want it back to be honest. But if its up for say 10k then i'm more than happy for someone to front the cash before it goes to auction. If i wasn't moving to Melbourne i would probably buy it myself if it was super cheap

to save a whole bunch of messages saying that you want to buy the clubby for 10k....It was a random figure i threw out there. I doubt I will be offered it that cheaply. Christian
