its a thing well talked about the rb30 was a single cam, the 26 is a twin ,its not a factory setup, not that there is anything wrong with it .its a hybred motor so how can u claim a single statis you carnt ,as for the holden heads they are a redesigned heads still retaing all factory items being manifolds intake and excaust the heads dont change the stroke or pistons of the engine, do they u dont need to change pistons ,were as you need to change a fair bit for the 26 head ,its good for what they have done but claim the rite title not 1 that makes you guys feel better

l aint jealous just making a true known fact as l said good on them,, and have explained why l feel the way l do,how many of you peanuts can acctulay build an engine to understand the difference
your view doesnt count :P
agree that its an amazing feat but its not the fastest rb30 it doesnt matter how its worded its misleading as pigman said its a hybrid and they should be proud of that in my eyes

l never took it that way just thought l would say difference of opinion its a free would so they say
same thing can be said about what you have stated for the 308 motor pigsy the twin cam head its a revised version for an rb series engine.
same can be said for the single cam ford 6 cylinder they revised and made a new twin cam head which apparently fits straight on the older style 4 litre motor.
Ok everyone’s entitled to their own opinion on what makes an it an RB30 or not, the fact is it’s a quick RB in a well setup car, I’m guessing that motor in a VL wouldn’t be as quick so it’s hard to compare it to the quick VL on this site
Personally I’m not a fan of the car (yes, I’d rather it was a VL) but well done to the RIPS guys on their achievement
RIPS' RBXYZ1232JZNO5HIT Dragster is up and running/licensing. Accidentaly ran under the DD/Dragster record along the way with a backoff 8.87 @ 138.
Driving back from a licensing pass.
