good point PROGMH. its like wen people have the big 5'' tacho wen there's one right in front of you looks good i no but i dont see the point. i was thinking of getting a shift light and puting it in the dash under the clock. turboVL ure pretty smart with this stuff could i wire a shif light to the standard tacho?

The standard tachometer is by no means accurate; and whilst I agree with what you're alluding to, aftermarket gauges are generally better for measuring variations.

Hi guys, Thanks for your comments. ProTig: No it's just a bargraph. PROGMH: I always monitor supply voltage(s) on all my designs, just figured it's there I might as well display it. As for the speed display, my VL's speedo has never read the correct speed, plus I find in my other car I never look at the speedometer but the centre speed read out. Figured why not have the same in the VL. Div 17: Hmmm... not really sure. I guess it would depend on the type of shift light. The only shift light I have used is that on the Wolf V500 Dash, so not your typical shift light.

So is it still in the design stage? Something like this could be as big as Mike_M's fuse rails.
