to install a 355crank do you need to relive the block from touching crank or do you have to relieve conrod bolts from hitting camshaft yeh not sure on holdens but chevs ive done before thinking of refresh

yeh you have to relive the block to make clearance for the crank. unless u use a vs block or later.

early blocks have thiner casting at the base of the blocks,
the later blocks are thicker at the base of the cylinder bores etc its a heavier block hard to describe but if u had them side by side you can clearly see the difference .

Just had my car tuned by john and the team at ices
cant reccomend them enough service was outstanding and the car drives fantastic they also were able to diagnose and fix the wrong crank angle sensor and the cold starting issues,
Thanx again boys cant wait to boost it up and go for the big numbers.

I would like to get rid of the AFM, can you tune via haltech or microtech or just Nistune and have to keep the AFM?
cheers
