What a night it turned out to be, at first it was looking a little slow cos of all the clean ups etc but i'm so glad i stayed to watch Joe run the 8.2 (hairy as hell at the top end!) and then Anthony go 8.1... as soon as he two stepped VL GOD out of the hole and i saw it hook up it was like a dream but i gotta admit i thought i was going to see a 7 light up on the board. It's important to remember that the car's turbo was actually demolished from a previous run when the ice box lid came off and droppd ice everywhere the turbo ate a piece of ice and lost a couple of blades, it can only be assumed that this would have cost it a bit of power?? Either way that car has an MX7 in it right now as Anth was getting it ready for Powercruise but had clutch issues so Sam is gonna give the old 1-2-3-4 a try on Wednesday night and see what the GOD goes as a gear banger Also interesting was JET30R, which seemed to be coming out of the hole harder than ever although backing on and off the throttle due to wheelspin it looked like. I saw him do one run on and off the throttle and still went through for a 9.0 so whether or not that was the 8.8 Vic's been looking for, for so long I don't know but i like to think so Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Best part of the night was the cameraderie shown by both camps. There was still serious competition going on but it was friendly. If the workshop groupies could get their heads around this fact the world would be a better place.

must be over the 50-60 mark with all the 8 sec passes not to mention the dyno runs what anth should just build 8 sec race motor you would be crazy not to by them

na it only has a lebo clutch in it it will come out h patern manual but it going to run a 7 before that happens

is it still the 'baby' engine?

Still the same engine, has had a few different turbo combinations though. It's an R&D car first and foremost.

that engine has probably done about 100000km just down the drag strip and return road!

speaking of engines kill 351 i heard your going undercover and really have matouks building you a 26 30 twin cam setup with a gt 55 and you have bought a second hand gforce from gas motorsports recently and are not putting r33 setup. time will soon tell it should be good. also it will be good to see when matouks bring out there new 3 quarter chassis vl there sending to melbourne to be built in april just a question though why are they getting a chassis built in melbourne and not sydney. johny lang race cars in melbourne ive heard are the nominated chassis builders.

the chassis builder has the best turn around time and a good price not confirming anything but and kil 351 story does not suprise me at all
