to avoid venting, go for a sealed battery, bit more expensive but saves the mucking around

Or just leave the battery in the front where it was intended to be when Holden designed the car Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

But you are right everyone will mod a car to suit there tastes. But as to values a car will always attact a bigger dollar unmodified.(check ebay)I am not having a go at anyone becouse I believe that everyone to there own.For me, I like to have them original. The other side of the coin is those people that modifiey them have looked after the cars and they will always be around in some form. And no matter what they can be turned back to the way they were. I love going to car shows and seeing the effort people have put into there cars.Take Alex's Walkie rep.Awsome car and done correctly.I wish I could undertake something like that,But that is not me.But I still love the look of the whole thing. My project at the moment is a 75 GTO which I am restoring for my little girl.It will be her first car.Two weeks ago I traveled 1200ks in a day to get another doner car so I could use bits to restore the one I brought. For me I like to hunt up parts and do most of the work myself. I will try and hunt up another Vl for the wife.Hoping to find a VL GTS in mint condition. But we will wait and see. Cheers Marty

Pretty much binned the rest of the bits. I actually tried to find info on the car before I started my project. I determined it was basically a NZ only dealer special (to get rid of excess stock probably!) and not really worth any more than a boggo VL, so let loose with the tools.

For a list of Low Volume Vehicle Certifiers CLICK HERE (http://www.lvvta.org.nz/LVV%20Certifier%20List.pdf) Mark Stokes in Auckland has done a few of my cars and is a very reasonable guy highly recommended lol i like it how the second video on that link describes how you gotta take the car to 100km/hr yet he clearly passes a 80km/hr speed limit lol yeah, i did a battery relocation to the boot of my wagon.
