I am having a wild guess here but i know a bit about electronics, I'm guessing the reason your car still starts is because the relay might be a N/C (normally closed) type. So when that neutral start switch is in the neutral or park position (which it most probably will have stayed at when the auto box was removed), there is a current flowing to that relay, which is connected to the ignition switch somehow, and that allows the car to start. When the selector and the neutral start switch are in any other position (any of the drive gears), the current to that relay is turned off, so the contacts in that relay open, which means the current wont flow to the ignition meaning you won't be able to start the car. Thats my guess as to how it works, does it make sense?

Can someone tell me the which hose goes where from the power steering fluid reservoir? There is an upper and lower outlet - which one goes to the rack? And... the coolant pipes that go into the firewall for the heater...any ideas if these flow a certain way - is there an in and out? I need to mate these to my RB25DET. Gregory is no use.

The vacuum hose on the brake booster...does this go into the plenum? It's been so long since I took it off that I can't remember where it goes! The pictures in my gregorys are no good. Oh, and that ball thingy under the right hand headlight...anyone know the correct path for the hose to run? I know it needs to go to the plenum and to the heater, but I'm not sure where to run the hose. Cheers.

If anyone else ever does this - don't do what I did and throw out the old carpet - use it as a template... anyways...can anyone tell me if the seats are bolted on top of the carpet or if there are holes cut into it? If so, what shape are the holes... cheers

you usually have to cut new holes for the seat bolts, i had to with mine. sit it in place and get a small screwdriver or something to find the holes and cut out a small square with a stanley knife. same goes with seatbelt bolts!
