Below are the most common (but not the only) causes of noise and vibration problems: Tire / wheel assembly is out of balance No hub centric rings on aftermarket wheels Incorrect mounting hardware for aftermarket wheels Tire is poorly seated on the rim Irregular tire wear Out of round rim Out of round tire

Do any of your wheels look like this? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

^^^^ I still have that rim in my garage. Thinking about taking it down to Metalman to see if they'll give me $20 for it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The rims have been on the car since i brought it , runs 225/50/16s all round. Used to have ****ed shocks and compressed springs , and it was perfect. Had new springs and shocks installed and since then the sterring wheel vibrates or shakes between 95 to 105 etc. had wheel alignment done and wheels swapped front to back and blanced , lil better but still does it. Could it be the weights on the wheels at all ??

Pull off your front rims and see if they have hup locator rings. Plastic rings wear over time so it could be that... or it might not have any at all Not saying your rims are cheap, but cheap rims never seem to balance up properly from my experience... they must be soft and get out of round easily

Oh and Matt, after you mentioned that before we left for the dyno in Hamilton, I noticed mine does shake a little! I just never noticed 'cause I don't know any different Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah new wheels would be good, but with the rest of my car as it is it's not worth getting real nice rims, but it's something I don't want to half do.. might get new rims when I need tyres.
