Why would you respray it if theres nothing wrong with it... its only going to devalue it plus cost you money to do so? Original cars are worth more than rebuilt / resprayed ones. If it were mint and the paint was fine, theres no way in hell I'd respray it!!

Nice car you have mate, but i'd say she's just a regular SV LE wagon that someone has fitted with all that gear, its not factory done, there's a few giveaways. Dealer, possibly, but not off the production line. Holy crap it is mint but, look at that trim! VERY nice car Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The kids are never late for school by the sounds of it. If you can buff up the original paint it would be better in the way of originality, top car anyway.

VERY nice car rims front bar scoop etc yes they could be fitted up but check the le logo on the twin throttle bodies... thats just to out of the ordinary. i deem it legit. for starters those emblems / stickers would be all but impossible to get and if you were building a group a wagon you would really change the interior badgeing etc. at the very least you would not take the group a badge from the twin throttles and replace it with an le emblem. All that stuff can easily be fitted, i agree with you there, and the LE thing could be easily stenciled up, and it DOES still have SV interior, not group a, i doubt someone would have wanted to take away the 'SV'ness of the car, but just ADD to it with group a parts. look under the details firstly, the bonnet hole thats punched out isnt as genuine group a's, which are even squares and have studs coming through, its been done after-factory, and is rectangular, and dareisay screwed, there is a stainless steel bolt on the throttle body, there are bolts in the primary instead of studs, the coil is different, and no group a's were autos, so their TB's didnt have provisions for all the cruise/kickdown setup like you see there, it would have had to been modded post factory. That's just what i see, that's all, still a freakin awesome, and very rare piece. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

and it has the group a rocker covers hmmm. well can the owner show any logbooks / documentation demonstrating its a hsv built group a wagon? i'm not saying it isn't i would just like to see it confirmed so i can jot it down in my head and tell people "i once heard of a guy with a genuine group a wagon" and not feel like a fool. i genuinely hope its real.

Well as i said before, quite possibly dealer done, but i dont think it is a factory built car. The ONLY reason for road going group A's, were to allow Holden to qualify their racecars for Group A racing, as we all know, which were in turn designed to put a V8 back in the winners circle on the track. But they had to be identical (in a shrue sense) to the road cars (sedans), so there would be no reason to factory build a wagon as a Group A badged car

wow my car is causing a bit of confusion! SO here goes it isnt a ss group a wagon, it is a sv le group a, i have original logs and papers for the car, it is the only one ever produced. I HAVE checked with holden matching the vin and engine number together and yes it was built with the 4 bolt main group a engine (not just ttb manifold), it wasnt just dropped in there! Next time I'm in the valubles i'll grab the paper work for u guys. I do have a few toys I'll post up pics up soon ( been flat out). Guys I really appreciate the comments and even grief about the car, its one of my babies! thanx will update soon Loki Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Mate know ones bagging your car, it's fair enough that most people want proof before beleiving this car is a geniune factory build car, and I'm one of those people. I've never heard of a car like this and I also asked Corsa who has also never heard of it... it's got to be pretty rare for Corsa to have never heard of it... Factory built, dealer built, or aftermarket, it's still a very nice and rare car

I know no-ones bagging the car! I actually dont mind a bit of grief about the car, not every1 will like it and thats up to them, i wont hold it against them. I'm very busy at the moment guys, but will get pics of documentation up for u guys it will be a few weeks away until i go to my "safe" and get them though. Thanks again for the feed back guys Loki P.s I've always loved your car nz evlhsv looks tuff as

I believe it is real - just because HSV never told anyone on this site about a one off - doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If this were a Ford GT site and someone with Bill Burkes XW GT factory ford fitted 429 Cobrajet told everyone he had a gt with such a big motor factory fitted, then we would all be having the same discussion. If he has checked the vin with holden/hsv and it comes up trumps - then thats what it is. There have been heaps of ""one offs" built by different manufacturers over the years, that maybe only a couple of people know about.
