sorry to dig up an old thread, but dave did you manage to get the prob sorted? did you end up using the vs booster or the vlt one? coz i've got a vs booster + vt master + vt calipers that im gunna put in hopefully soon, just wanna know how to sort out the probs. so was it the check valve on the vacuum hose (to the booster) that was faulty? also did you use the vt discs with those adaptor hubs? which bearing seals and caps did you use, vl or vt? coz my kit came with bearings but no seals so i want to get some but don't know which to get out of vl or vt? one more thing i just remembered, what reservoir did you end up using for the vs booster/vt master combo? cheers heaps Sam

I used the VT discs and adapter hubs. Mine adapter hubs use the standard VL bearings and seals. I think most of them do but i guess it depends where yours came from! Regards, J

I'll go and get new VL seals then. may get some VT ones (if they're not too expensive) just in case Sam

I have the brake line adaptors for VL lines to VT master, so thats all sorted. cheers Sam

that valve is a simple one way valve, it will handle boost just fine, there is no difference between a turbo one and a non turbo one, they do however leak sometimes, they are about 10 bucks new from gm. to do a quick test remove and suck on it, one way should be easy to suck through and the other way it should not leak. Or when you start the car after its been sitting overnight hold your foot on the brake pedal and start the car, holding a constant pressure on the pedal it should only move down slightly if at all. if it sinks a long way the booster is leaking vacuum, dont forget it may not be leaking from the valve tho, boost pressure will not/cannot hold brakes on, infact it will aid in the removal of brake pressure if a fault was present in the one way valve.

Ok, um na I just got 3 for the master cyl. what are the other 2 for? Also, I'm guessing the standard VL stone guards will be too small for the VT discs? what have you guys done to overcome this?
