It makes you physically ill getting your VL knocked off, the scums have no respect for peoples work, alarm pagers with sms are available these days, its getting harder leaving good VLs around.

When I was in Melbourne a few week's ago I recall seeing a White VL Turbo parked on the street overnight in Coburg, "not a wise idea" I thought to myself.

To whom it may concern, Firstly I would like to state that this post is not an attack on this person in any way, and is only to notify others who may be considering taking their car to Nick S. to have work done. Having said this it is very difficult to write something like completely neutral when such a f’d up thing has happened. This is a lengthy and seemingly complicated story therefore I appreciate anybody who takes the time to read it and appreciate what the hell went on. I had a couple of misfiring and idling issues with my VL turbo and was planning to put a computer in it anyway so I took it down and saw Nick one Saturday and he quoted me 2200 for an EMS stinger installed with a new custom loom (drive in – drive out). This seemed reasonable to me and I organized a mate to follow me over to Nick’s workshop one night after School and give me a lift home (Monday). When I left the car with Nick the car was INSIDE the workshop with a forklift parked in front of the roller door which put to bed my preceding concerns about leaving my car in a workshop in coburg. I went home that night and deposited 1000 into Nicks bank account as he had asked me to do so he could order the EMS. One day passed and I didn’t hear anything from Nick which was fair enough because he didn’t have the unit to do anything with anyway. The following day (Wednesday) I was on my out to Croydon to pick up my VT brake upgrade for the car when Nick called me with bad news. Nick told me my car was missing, and a feeling of anger and despair to a degree I cannot describe came over me. How does a car get stolen from behind a forklift and a ****ing roller door you ask? The very question I asked Nick. He said he took my car to his house and parked it on the street there. He said that they were working on other cars in the workshop and couldn’t do anything on mine yet and parking my car out in the front of the workshop would have resulted in a fine so he took it home. Then he said he couldn’t take it back to the workshop that night (Tuesday) because there was no room for it in there. As strange as it sounded to me at the time, but for some reason my car a very nice clean VL turbo was less likely to get stolen than the piece of **** telstars and family slugs he had locked up in the workshop. He told me this while I was on the phone to him. After breaking the window of the car I was driving I did a u-turn and went home. I called my parents and told them what happened and then went to my local police station and notified them of what had happened. After this I went a saw Nick and he offered me little. He told me some storey of one person that was meant to be picking up a car and he didn’t show up so My VL gets left out in the street near his house. Nick and myself then went to the police station over there (Fawkner) and he made a report, In which he said HE LAST SAW THE CAR ON THE TUESDAY NIGHT AT 9:30PM WHEN HE HAD A PIZZA DELIVERED, (The capitals are for a reason which will make sense very soon) and made out that the pizza delivery guy was asking questions and had something to do with the car going missing. After the police myself and Nick went back to his workshop that was pretty much it from him. He asked me if I had insurance (thank F#$k I did) and then I said “shouldn’t this be covered by your insurance” (meaning his business insurance), of course he didn’t have any though and at this point directed me to signs (for the first time) in an office that said things like “leave at owners risk” and **** like that. Somewhere around when I was with Nick he did offer to help me build up another car which a) I didn’t want any VL I wanted mine back because it was the nicest thing on the road and b) I didn’t want anything further to do with nick. Oh one other thing when talking about the insurance Nick offered to pay my excess and some money on top because my premium would go up. This seemed “remotely reasonable” ( because really his business insurance should have covered this) at the time however I chased Nick for around a month or two and he never came through with a cent, so I believe he was talking out of his anus when he said this. This was the last I saw a Nick I left shortly after getting back from the police station however there was no way I could leave it like this. I decided to go door knocking where Nick’s house was (where my car was parked “overnight”), and try and find out something about the whereabouts of my car. I spoke to 3 or 4 neighboring residents of which couldn’t really remember anything. One resident had a very good Idea of what had happened however. “they” told me that there was a white car parked out the front of the house yesterday (meaning Tuesday) and also that “AT 4 O’CLOCK TWO PEOPLE GOT INTO THE CAR, CASUALY AND DROVE AWAY AND THE CAR NEVER RETURNED”. I have used the capitals again here for a reason and I will now copy from above exactly what Nick told me and the police… “HE LAST SAW THE CAR ON THE TUESDAY NIGHT AT 9:30 PM WHEN HE HAD A PIZZA DELIVERED”. How was it that Nick saw the car at 9:30PM and his neighbor said the car left at 4:00 o’clock? Who was lying? Who had a reason to lie? I took this information back to my local police station, but they proceeded to do absolutely f*^k all and let whoever stole the car get away with it. I claimed my insurance for my car and didn’t lose “too” much money however I honestly would have been happy to lose a lot more money to have the car back (by now I would have pumped another 5-6K into her and I would have had the solid pass I wanted). My insurance company is now suing Nick for the amount of the car which is a good thing. I have tried to stay as neutral as possible in this post as hard as it is, but seriously if Nick is going to allow this type of thing to happen to a customer, then everybody has a right to know about it. Anybody who’s read this whole thing thanks for your time and I hope it makes people think about who they leave their car with.
