Yeh mate I'm getting it done shortly after i get the car back, not taking the motor out though, just moving everything and spraying around it.
A good mate of mine is the painter down at narrabeen smash repairs, he sprays alot of the drag cars and stuff and will be doing my car in a couple of months once i get everything else sorted. I think I'm gonna put the battery in the boot too, as well as remove a couple of other things from the bay.
All in good time I guess haha! I'm definately keen on those cv8z rims if you ever wanna sell hehe

u may have to take the engine out... i toyed with the idea of leaving mine in there and when i spoke to 3 different shops they said its more hassle leaving it in and the finish will not be anywhere near as good
justin doing the battery in boot? i think he did nates one and it was nicely done... but getting rid of battery tray is a massive s1ut
and yeh sorry for not replying to pm about the rims ages ago, i got it read it, was going to reply but something happened... and yeh quite a few people are keen on those rims... i think ive had 5 people so far ask me if i wanna sell

Well its finally fifnshed as of about 3 weeks ago. Couldn't be any happier with the way it drives in 13 psi, all it needs is some 4.11 diff gears as it struggles a bit with the 3.45s at the moment.
Had the rear garnish repsrayed in gloss black, as well as the fuse bos lid, air bos, radiator fan shroud and the bit behind the headlights, as they were letting the engine bay down a fair bit.
Heres some pics for you guys, let me know what you think!

Also, a huge thanks to Justin Moloney who put alot of the car together for me. Couldnt have done it without him and he treated the car like it was his own, did a great job i think.
Cheers, let me know what you think!

thanks mate yeh shame you lost ur license what a pain in the ass at this time of year!! good chance to get some work done on the car though...
yeh im over the idea of getting the bay sprayed, it'll never be a show car and if i get it sprayed then its just something else to clean haha.. it looks allright at the moment anyway i reckon, i also got rid of the radiator overflow and put a little hidden stainless one in which looks good i think.. ill put some pics up soon.
Cheers, James

hey mate if you dont mind me asking how much was it to get your head done? i need to get the same thing done to mine.

i paid $1300 for the head work.. that included:
-Port & polish (3 hours work = $240),
-stage 2 cam from camtech($215)
-arp head stud kit ($320)
-heavy duty valve stems etc etc..
Then u gotta factor in the head gasket, water pump gasket, probably get a new timing belt etc etc.. so by the end of it ur probably looking at about $1600.. makes a huge difference though in my opinion and the arp head studs combined with a decent head gasket gives you the peace of mind that everything should hold in place when ur giving it heaps.

thats how mine is man, but just slowly do things on it and it wont seem as bad haha. from your experience though you got a heap done at once hence the bill was a large sum at once
you'll regret it if you sell it. youve poured so much money into it and hardly had time to enjoy it
