Don't know man.... Only Prochargers I've seen on EFI holden motors are
Ivan's(MRMAD) VK which was totally custom and f*cking big $$ so forget it... but DNA motorsport did that as far as I know so maybe they can help you out with brackets..
And another guy I know had cobracraft make up his brackets to mount one to an EFI 5L in a LH torana.
To say they are too hardcore no... definately not... there is all different models available from 500HP capable units to 2300HP units....

Ive got a Vortech V2 on my VS 5.0L Its a great blower. The only thing i dont like about it is the noise they make at idle or deceleration. My VS made 236rwkw on 9psi.

Hehe sorry man, for some reason instead of reading and thinking procharger, I was thinking and reading Raptor superchargers
Procharger do definately make HP...raptor on the other hand...
My mistake, next time I'll re-read everything first haha

Raptor are Australian based and claim to be more efficient, technology advanced and be able to make more power than vortech's, they are only new and I was doing a bit of reading up on them... http://www.raptorsc.com.au/
i'd personally go the v2.. their good for power.. ive heard **** reports about the v7's, plus i think their very noisy..
i like the top mounts, whipple, eaton etc.. i recon the whine sounds tough.. i think the eaton m112's are best suited for the 5 litres... (not saying their better then vortech).. my mate's got a procharger (dunno the type) on his 372 cube carby with a blow through.. max it flows is 38 pounds boost.. and i think its rated at 1200+.. never had an issue with it, but **** it tares belts.. lol.. ive personally never liked the looks of the raptors.. vortechs and whipples look good imho
my plans were to stroke the 5L and supercharge it but yeah just thikin of doin one or the other now hey all this talk about the kits you can get sounds pretty impressive
Last year I tuned a VT senator 5.7 (304 factory stroker) with a Pro-charger on it.
It made good top end power but didnt have that much torque due to the linier delivery of boost. The Pro-chargers also create just as much intake temps as the PD top mount blowers. At idle the Pro-chargers chatter and are louder than a PD blower.
Personally I would go a PD blower, the torque is instant and thats what you fit a blower for. otherwise go turbo.

Can you not get mods certified to make the car legal? In NZ if you have a modified car you have to get it certified, and if you have the cert plate the cops can't touch you. You can have the basic mods (springs, exhaust, rims etc) without a cert, but once you get into engine swaps, coilovers, forced induction etc you need it certed
why would you get defected just for having a supercharger...and get in trouble with the EPA? i would have thought a turbo would be more likely to get you into trouble than a blower, seeing as a turbo runs on exhaust gases whereas as a supercharger is basically an air pump driven by a belt.
superchargers arent illegal, but i assume you would need an engineers certificate if you put an aftermarket one on your car, and definitely if you swapped your engine for an L67 for example.
i dont think supercharger means instant defect if you've gone about it the right way.

true doing all these mods i am makin sure every little thing will end up done properly and not dodgy and deffinately engineer it all i got qouted of an engineer fromn around here he's basically said keep it all stock stock induction and all emissions and so on and it'l be fine im like um dude im gonna put a blower on lol but wont let him know about srokin it but anyway seemed pretty cool said doing the mods have to use the v8 brakes which is already on my vl...and mate my first vl i had drib=vin it twice wasnt a DI#$ head in it at all got followed on the highway they pulled me over and F$%#D me lol i got done for heaps of shti i understand that the car needed attion in places and i was takin it of the road the next day to start fixing it lol but the guy was the biggest nob i couldnt believe it reved the shti outa my car so the BOV went of and was making smart ass jokes about everything, so yeah for sure will engineer it all lol F$%K wat a story

What supercharger have you fitted though? If it's an L67 conversion it shouldn't be that big-a-deal because it's all factory gear, but if you've fitted one of those abortion SC14 things...cop probably thought he was doing the world a favour
