what i would do - remove tribal paint on nosecone replace parcel shelf with something more plain. get black calais sideskirts lose the HSV badges but hey i like the colour and interior and looks like a hell of a lot of effort has been put into it. what do you like / dislike about the car?

I like it! I take it being in the NA section it isnt boosted? I personally wouldn't change anything but the wheels. VE GTS wheels would set that thing off even though everyone is gettin them now days.

wholly ****... i thought my shifter was short that thing is insane !! nice car man, i cant knock the fake calais front kos i have one myself but it looks kinda awkward all smoothed out like that... tribal stuff is a no-no in my opinion, apart from that it looks awesome. a few small tweaks and you've got a real head turner there. i like Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

New rims and get rid of the tacho imo Thanks for the reply! yeh I have already moved the tacho to beside the Head unit on the passenger side... the shift light almost blinds me when it comes on! I will get some more pics up soon, I have been sooo busy lately! Thank You everyone who has replied! really appreciate it!... I think I will take the tribal design off the front... I don't know how it will come off, any ideas? And in terms of the car itself I didn't mention previously that it has a 3" Exhaust and Pacemaker Extractors... and yes the Shifter is tiny!! and has the smallest throw aswell... but I am used to it now so it's not so bad. I have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Subs in an enclosure in the boot with a Rockford Fosgate Amp bolted on top. 2 Pioneer 6x9's on the custom rear parcel shelf. The interior as you all probably have seen and can identify better than me is from a Calais... I prefer the Calais tail lights to these ones but am thinking that these ones probably suit the car better seeing as it has the black outlining... What do you guys think?? Would Calais Tail lights suit it? I need to get some wiring done also as the left tail lights do not work and when i put my foot on the brake the front and rear parkers come on... so not sure whats going on there. The wheels are 17" and I'm not too fussed on them... I think they go with the gold fairly well... opinions there?... but as someone said previously VE GTS wheels would be awesome... anyone know how cheap you can pick them up for? Thanks again for showing interest, i am loving the ideas coming through... keep them coming... also I will look around this site a bit more to get some ideas you guys have already given to other people. Cheers Sean Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

* yeh i would lose that trible thing ... * paint the mirrors black * paint the door handles black * take that hsv bage off * glove box in lid, match to trim * calais front ok but ( put a calais bage in the middle of nose ) lose the silver :d other than that its prity neat... that my 2 cents

why not spend another $500 and make it a calais look alike, you already have the front end, interior, etc get the side skirts, lower door moulds and rear lights and your all set! i swear if i saw it on the street i would think its a calais with the berlina lights on it, has the calais boot mould and brows on it it would look like a calais with different rear lights, no lower moulds and no skirts ahah but yea nice car hey!

Welcome to the world of a never ending money pit called a VL!! You're off to a great start, thats a sweet ride (if no one does anything different, there's no progression in the scene), you'll get knocked with anything you do by at least a couple of people, so get used to that, but in general, everyone's helpful, and you'll find everything you'll need to know and more, on this site! Cheers.
