...plus tyres and bent axles. It is true, its the cheapest form of motorsport u can do, move up to state open wheeler stuff you need at least 40-50k to get started

haha affordable motorsport when compared to (Forumula 1) lol.. they just forgot to put that part on the sticker. Club level racing is affordable tho you have to say.. for the enjoyment you can get out of it.. as well as still being competitive and u can race regularly. But if u have intentions of going places... David Sera ... helps to have a couzin like the guy in the pic above... and plenty of backing. I think there is a pic of James or David in every AutoAction i open.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Been having a look around. Going to go for a rotex kart. Reliability doesn't really concern me. my clubman S i was still doing engine rebuilds on it and besides i own a vl turbo lol.. enough said. What i used to find so expensive were tyres brand new. Used to cost a mint for them. I'm not going to get back into competitive racing at first. Stick to my local track every weekend and get some practice in and then think about it. Club membership is $85 a year, liscense is $30 and when you turn up to practice its $35 all day. Not bad considering the ****ty 4 stroke hire karts are around $80 for 1/2 and hour these days. So with these electric starts. Does this mean. Instead of pushing the kart like an idiot and jumping in, you can sit in the kart press a button and it fires up and you drive away?? Also another question... When i was at the track yesterday there were 2 karts there that were a full manual? What sort of karts are these?? When i went with him that thing could pop wheelie's along the main straight. Pure insanity. he used to give us a push from pits to get mine started lol. He eventually got banned from the track in that kart. You can understand why... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Electric start means exactly that, push the button and it starts and runs as they have a centrifugal clutch. I take it your signing up to a hire/fun kart based private track as an AKA licence is a hell of a lot more than $30 bucks the last time I checked. Also generally with AKA affiliated clubs you dont have to pay to practice as you are normally given a track key for access almost every day of the year! Tyres are at a fixed contract price as per AKA regs for most categories. When I had the Leopard and F100 I was basically using a set of tyres every race meeting and practice day at $266 a set from memory. As for the manual karts they were most likely 125 ICC karts but it could be anything. Depends where you were?

yeh its a private track that does host actual races but most of the time its just a hire track at kembla grange. 1hr south of sydney. The AKA liscense. What is involved in getting that??
