I think all cars a different man, mines only NA and its an animal, ive stayed even with a couple of the vlt's here in adelaide & have no issues chirping third or getting it to break traction. My previous vl's were not as great and few of my mates are like dogs and struggle like crazy. I dont know what it is, probly a combination of gearing, susspension and exhuast. Stiff rear susspension with diffinately help with the wheel spin.

I had a 5speed na that ran perfect, when accelerating from a stop all it could ever do was chirp second, no wheel spin in first, if i dumped at the limiter in first and second i could probably wheel spin. I reckon this guy is exaggerating. An NA is an NA, a stock vl turbo wouldnt chirp 3rd?

when my vlt was standard except for kool and 8psi it chirped 3rd pritty easily. Now it brakes into mass wheel spin Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Correct me if i'm wrong but 5th is not 1:1 that would not make it an overdrive ratio something more like 1:.75 From memory or not...????

alright.... i have a vlc n/a with a bmc air filter and stock vlt 2 1/4" zorst and 430 ***km it does nothing unless its wet or on high psi re92s. i have a mate with a vlc n/a a third of the km's 4 :11 diff gears 28 spline dif single spinner firm and low suispension and a k&n filter who can spin al day. both cars are auto. i expect mine to perform a hell of a lot better with extractors fitted plus feel better with a manual box. i have driven 3 other vls 2 of which were manual n/as with a cat back exhaust and thats all these both spun wheels with ease. manual box and bald wheels are the way to go! chirping in third though is questionable i would suggest you have a hell of a nice engine.

ehhh sounds liek there is something done to the ride but a flameage is what ya get round here, i prefer to save money on tyres. its a lot easy to spin older tyres then new ones.

standard vl's have got a 3.45 diff ratio, v8's have a 3.08... 5th gear is like .78:1 ratio, 4th is 1:1 trust me, flat shifting 2-3 u cant get wheelspin 2-3 in a n/a stocker

Yeh mates chirps 3rd sometimes if u flat change on the limiter , thats will balled tiers exhaust and CAI and advanced timming. He put it on the dyno last powercruise for a bit of fun, 123rwhp LOL got the sheet around here somewhere. Ah and it has a open wheel diff I wouldnt be giving 5th a hard time either, the weakest of the bunch. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
