My old vacationer VL used to do that it was the driveshaft smashing against the bottom of the car have a check if there are scrape marks from the driveshaft where it bolts to the diff flange....mine only used to do it when you were completly airbourne at speed though with ultra low springs...usually over railway lines etc.

All was fine though. I was just looking at those ultra lows + choppys, was kinda interested but I wont touch chopped springs. This isn't the place for this, what am I going on about? Any more recent pics of it then?

It does it if i have people in the back and if i accelerate mild to hard - depending on how many people in the back. I have superlow dobi's and pedders shorterned rear shocks and adjustable panhard rod. Does anyone know what might be causing this or a solution to the problem - it isn't altho that low so i wouldn't have thought it to be that... Any insight would be helpful. ** Sorry to hijack the thread but it seemed to be part of the general discussion in here** Cheers, Jason

I don't get any bangs and mine is fairly low Quote: Originally Posted by Irontusk I was just looking at those ultra lows + choppys, was kinda interested but I wont touch chopped springs. Nothing wrong with chopped springs as long as they are captive. Cut off your lower rear shock mount and weld it back on up side down. That will give you an extra inch to put a shorter spring in there. I did that to mine and the cert guy was happy with it
