The site should support victims of this sort of **** I rekon.. www.calaisturbo.com.au (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au) - for sale section insurance... part of the membership fee should be put aside to aid in situations like this where trying to get the money back 'instantly' is almost impossible. the members give alot to the site.. this could be a way for the site to give something back in extreme circumstances where this **** happens. my 2c Yeah for sure mate its a bit like that (LIVE AND LEARN). I thought i had learnt to an extent buying from just plain users on the site and then i went and purchased off these guys mainly due to them being an advertiser etc at the time but yeah nice lesson it was. Your response makes me feel that little bit better uno knowing fully i will never ever buy anything off calaisturbo let alone the internet ever again. If you carnt see touch and feel then its not worth buying!! No matter the saving haha i tried to save a few hundred as money is tight these days and ended up losing $1350 ouucchh. I just hope that these guys can come good on this! Cheers

yer sounds very sus how do you tell if a turbo is stolen? why did they come to you. cops dont care about anything except giving speeding fines. ive sorta followed this from the start, and dont rember any thing said that would make any cop sus enough to confront you about it being stolen. also you say the cops have taken the turbo because it was stolen. all you need is proof of purchase (receipt) which you have, as it was once posted on here and they cant touch it. you bought it from a repitable business not some back yard mechanics in broadmeddows. i think you too have also been stooged ( or trying to stooge) dont get me wrong every one understands you didnt get what you paid for and that was wrong but with out giving the turbo back to john theres no hope in getting your cash back

ok after raeding a bit of that itd definitly possible but having a receipt from a place like bressani there would be know way i would be handing the turbo over to the cops. if all this is true that not only you have been sold a incorrect turbo but also stolen that is FU!kED. SHAME ON YOU bressani. if people cant trust a big name work shop like that that, it makes smaller shops like my own look really bad. hope it all works out for you MRTLRACE EDIT i just checked the dates on that thread and it was almost 3 years ago. stolen turbos would sell with in weeks/months not years. unless some some was smart and held on to them or have been fiting them to customers cars

i took the turbo when it arrived to my local well known garrett dealer he rang and made a phone call with the serial numbers as it wasnt on tyhere lists and he said hes never seen anything like it before. The guy from garretts said to the turbo guy which i wont name any longer where did you get that turbo and hes said well the guy that brang it in here got it from brecsianis and purchased it through ct. Either way they a week later i get the call on my mobile how the hell do they find that out!!! basically dobed myself in trying to verify the numbers. thats how it happened

ohh ok just couple of things i dont understand 1 *this has been goin on for few months now yer. so you took it to your local turbo shop as soon as it arrived, and the cops called you in a week. why has there been no mention of this until now. when did the police acctually take the turbo off you. if they where in touch with you within the first 2 weeks, wouldnt they off taken it off you straight away not wait 2 months then take it. 2* how can they take it u had a invoice. what should off happend is police would off contacted brescani ,made brescani return your money, then the police charge brescani for dealing with stoilen goods. not take your fu!king turbo and let brescani get away with it. 3*i rember ages ago you saying somthing along the lines off the when you took it to your turbo shop they told you the turbo is a bitza, just a slapped togeather peice of junk like a t28 comp wheel and cover with a gt35/82 exhaust side, and they have never seen anything like it b4. garrett dont make slaped togeather peices of junk so how can you have a stolen garrett turbo that doesnt exsist. either its a stolen production garret turbo or some one has just put togeather a peice of sh!t and sold it to you. you cant really have boath in this situation. like whats the chances off some one at honeywell garrett, just for some strange reason slaping togeather some pice of SH!T turbo out the back in some dark corner. then it gets stolen from them. then brescani get a hold of it and advertise it on here. then you buy it. hmmm just doesnt make sence
