ONLY mods are hm headers, twin 2.5inch exhaust, blue tops, cai, dyno tune. the old owner (mate of mine) had all the engine work done, it was FULL stock when he bort the car... no headwork, standard bore,no cam. 169.7rwkw. youd lose around How does that work? y did mine only make 167rwkw and its a stinker compared to that! got all the good bits in the driveline too... Oh yeah, the engine wouldnt run without a cam either mate! lol

If we start talking that the cars have been tuned and injectors then its possible to see the 150 mark, back in the days of stockers, my mate had a red vn 5.0 manual wagon, he had extractors, exhaust, cai, clutch and 3.7 gears and it would turn a best of 14.4 pipes on/off no matter what he did Theres just way to many happy dynos out there, i believe in the MPH & WEIGHT = cars real POWER Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I thought with a auto you needed a CAI/extractor/full system and kalmaker, crane 276 to get around 160-170rwkw. And the bigger 286 doesn't really make much more power and is doughy until you up the standard comp more...however i am definitly no expert cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

We fitted a 276 to a mates vs with a 355 bottom end, heads have been cleaned up a little, comps around 9.4 and has the other usual mods. Still retains stocko inlet manifold just with bigger throttle and car is auto and it turned 186rwkw. On the street it just turns tyres with so much ease, yet with that cam and manifold its dead in the water at like 4500 rpm. Most of the efi 5l I have seen with the basic bolt ons go 130-140rwkw as Trent said!

my old VN 5 litre had a VS BT1 engine in it (dont know if there is any difference) hm headers, exhaust, auto, standard diff, I think it had an upgraded cam, but it was nothing crazy and that made just over 150 RWKW, So i can easily believe that a few people are getting closer to 200kw.

My VP bt1 made 145RWKW with 70mm throttle body, CAI extractors/2.5" exhaust and thermo fan, took cat off and it jumped to 158. had a crane coil but dunno if that did anything
