richie, your wasting your time going bigger than an 81,youll never spool it,gas motorsport celica runs a 91mm wheel and thats a 6 sec car with loads of technology, the 81 will suit you just fine and will come on alot quicker. either way good luck with what you decide to do i just dont want you to waste $$ for nothing. out of curiosity how much is a billet gt47r?

Mark at Billet turbo's has done a VL with a 100mm front blade. It comes on boost at 5700 rpm.I dont know if you guys have heard of it. its from sydney. and the turbo if massive , due to the bigger front comp cover. No doubt in time there will be photos of this car going around. I have settled on a 88 front and a .86 rear. He has another client how has this same turbo on a 26/30. and yes it does boost up at 5200rpm. Cost of the turbo.......... its one of those "if i tell ya , i'm going to have to kill ya prices!!! LOL" Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ollie Year its not a cheap manifold guys. Its not a Chinese manifold. I built this manifold. I charge a fair bit more for my manifolds than others. It is made from S40 (3.8mm thick) 316 stainless steel. It has a very progressive merged collector and reasonably short runners for its design. It also has some very strong bracing built into it. There are no power gains to be had from swapping this manifold. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

finally someone has corrected the mistake, i also know this manifold is not a cheap chinese thing because it is sitting in my garage at this very moment and i am the person who has put this whole car together, so i get very offended when people start putting this car down especially when they havn`t seen the car with their own eyes. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I woudn't be looking at the boost response in your comp wheel choices i would be looking at the boost you have to run to make those wheels effienct I woudn't ever go past a Gt47-80mm for a street car on stock stroke. But a 88mm would be the go for a drag car. Be really slow in street trim though on pump fuel i would imagine , good to see your doing something different though, its cool ,can't wait to see the finished product. Is Mark Jacobsons gtr the car they fitted with the 88? cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Only morons with no idea will tell you it won't boost up, In the whole wide world it's hardly a new idea to put a 88 on a 3.0 cyl. It won't be good on pump fuel and it will need a good manifold design to hold boost down anywhere near being able to run on it, and it will be very, very laggy, make awesome power on race fuel, to much for a untubbed rear end, thats for sure. Sort of a catch 22 setup really, to much power for a untubbed rear end on race fuel and to laggy/no power under the curve on pump fuel for a street setup if supras are any indication. What fuel you going to run out on the M1?C16 , that last setup you had was awesome, can't believe you changed it, i would have just put some 280 cams in it cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The T51r SPL BB was very very laggy aways.... it come on full boost at 5700rpm!!! this turbo will be on song at around 5200rpm. So how is this turbo ever going to effect anything in the way of driveablity from the last setup? if anything its going to be better!!! Everyone here is so use to GT42r's and To4z's etc. The bench mark is going to be moved now!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah ill be using the 81mm billet wheel as well with my set up, as rob said i dont think it'll spool a 91mm wheel, though im only using a single cam head so its even harder for my set up. aparently these new billet wheels are the bees knees!!!

If not we are going to take it as it comes with the setup. If it has to stick out....... well it will stick out of the bonnet!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

if i can recall they start at around $2300 (for GT35 size) and up i think T04z size is around $2400? initial price might seem a bit pricey but price increase vs size increase seems to be quite good! your best bet is to either call or email Mr Turbo or kyle on these forums (6BOOST) and discuss your plans with them and theyl shoot you in the right direction in terms of turbo choice and prices Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

haha wow, with all this talk about "billet turbos" its making me want one also would it be safe to assume... (if ive missed the price if it was mentioned) that these billetturbos are decent "bang for your buck" when compared to the price of HKS items? because isnt a HKS T51R more than 4-5k?
