Thats what i thought, i dont know , all i know is that on the dyno sheet it ses 637HP , thats *ucking powerful!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

All i know is everytime somebody talks about a power figure they're making, Pigsy has something to say about it...kinda funny actually. haha

was thinking the same thing.

If shootout mode wasnt ever applied, Melbourne cars would be making HEAPS more power because the ambient temperature would be lower

Hey richie, Do you have a tourque figure?

Shoot out mode every dyno is different, just like normal mode it ain't consistent, everyone reads different, 1/4 mile blacktop reads right cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thats would be about the most perfect street/strip setup out there if you did that, must be a fantastic setup already though..lucky bugger cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

no, shootout mode does not read hp at the motor. where on the dyno do you enter diff type, gearbox type, stall speed, stall size, tailshaft size, uni size? where you heard that statement im not sure.

Shootout doesn't take out the driveline and give you HP at the engine. As Epitaph stated previously it's merely a correction factor for ambient pressure and temperature changes. I believe it also sets a standard vehicle inertia value, at least on DD dynos. When you're not in shootout mode you can fiddle with vehicle inertias and other things to influence your power figures by a fair bit.

Another one here to back the statement that shootout mode does not add 10-15%, all it does is automatically correct the hp reading to the ambient air conditions of the day, so that if you dyno'd your car in 40 deg heat previously, then again on a 15 degree night, both would be corrected by the same % back to a mean average so you could compare the figures. DD did it so people could compare figures anywhere in the world at any altitude or temp. The most correction I have seen with 60 dgree inlet temps on a hot day is 7%, most dyno's on a 25 deg day with good air have less than 1-2% +/- Now, back on topic, thats great power for stock cams with an auto, congratulations 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I dont want to have it on the road during the silly season. the cops are everywhere on the coast at the moment. Coz knowing me i will have some mates in the car going full noise down the M1 and get done. So i think i will just smash down a **** load of beer and wait till just after xmas.
