normal lows are up to 35mm, superlows are 55mm, and ultralows are up to 75mm

what is recompressing springs, is this getting the spring to go the exact height you want, how much does it cost can it be done to my super lows to make them lower than ultra lows.

Mate take your car somewhere where they recompress springs. They will measure where it is sitting and then they will compress it to how low you want to go...

just be carefull compressing springs... if your compressing super lows to ultra lows thats fine, but if you compress stocks to ultra lows thats when problems start vlhero is right though, this has been covered numerous times. just search "ultra lows" and you will get heaps of related threads that will answer all your queries.

i have king spring ultralows in the front of mine.. in the rear im using pedders VR/VS non IRS springs as the lowest pedders go for VL's are same height as superlows/lows.. So yeah grab the VR/VS ones.. (YES NON IRS springs will fit VL's) side shot.. sits perfectly if you ask me.. however u-turns will scrub the front tyres if you do them mroe then 5km/h.. P.S my car sits 145mm from the sideskirts and 115mm from the lowest point in the exhaust system..

ok ill rephrase, yes i have searched it many times before if your vl isnt vlhero's and has ultra lows in it, it will sit below 100mm. if you own vlhero's car which has ultra lows in it, for some weird reason it will still be above 100mm off the ground

using standard or shortened type shocks WILL NOT alter the ride height, the advantage of the shorter shock absorber is to ensure safety so springs cant pop out, but does not alter ride height it is entirly on the spring and every car sits differently. Cheers.

So the sensible thing to do is to get springs custom made to the height you want.

i've decided to get my springs recompressed another 50mm my next question is, will i need to cut my bump stops, if so how much and do i just cut the top of them?

See this comment here just proves why no one listens to you.... ULTRA lows will put u below 100mm... I have never heard of a VL with them NOT being below 100. Hell I had supers in mine and it was just on 100(without spare tyre and people in the car) 50mm = 5cm thats a bloody huge drop. I would suggest to you to do a little more research and see what you would rather have. A decked car that rides awfully or a nice ride height that rides smoothly. To be quite honest you will more than likely change it within a year neways so meh chop the springs

That's a lie. You HAVE heard of a VL being above 100mm with Ultralows. MINE! For whatever reason that is I cannot tell you. Fact of the matter is thats how high it sits, and if it was any lower it would be nothing but an inconvenience.

the only way that you can have it so high is if you have spacers or maybe even larger rubber guides(you know the bit that seats the springs). I really dont see any other way....
