Wow, something slightly similar happened to my mate a while back. He got defected for the usual (Pod filter, lowered suspension etc.) on the Friday night. Went into the Cop-shop on the Sunday, and asked them to check over the car to get the defect cleared. They tried to look it up and basically said "What defect?” The officer filled out the paper work and everything but obviously didn't file it.

Dude, thats 2 days after and on a weekend! I bet its got a defect on it still lol.
