Thanks for reminding me Tim !!! lol well the clutch doesnt slip .. it just doesnt disengage so technicaly speaking he could roll it onto dyno and start it in gear ... but ill be saving him the hastle and ordering the brass button clutch this morning if the misses ever figures out how much this **** really costs im dead ..... Hey mate lovely looking car i really like it, i wish you all the best with it in the future however i was wondering how sure you are that it is an 25/30 and not a straight 25? I ask this as that does not look like an rb30 power steering pump and also the deck height is lower like a 25 not higher like a 25/30 if you compare the engine height with others.

Thanks for your opinion mate + nice words. The engine number is RB30, its the oringinal eng # not re stamped. Your meaning P/S reseviour, not pump ? yer was moved to the turbo side and off the battery tray. Engineer certificate also says its a RB30 as they did the work, also police checked the car + it has far to much torque for a RB25. Fair point though ... not sure that the pics give a very good view ... maye miss leading ?? I can tell ya mate, my first concerns about this car were a - Its a **** RB20 head on RB30 b - Its a RB25 or RB20 but i done every check I could to make sure its not. Car Is booked into get Dyno tuned by Robbie Thursday. Im hoping for around 250rwkw Once I get some summer cruising in ill start on manifold for TV71 + 50mm gate What are the chances ill crack an 11 with 250rwkw ?? any ideas ?

Hey mate nah i meant the pump itself you can see it looks different to an RB30 one however maybe i am simply comparing it to a different series RB30 power steer pump as the 86 ones were different to the later ones. If you take a photo of the front end assembly (tensioners etc) everyone on here will be able to tell you 100% although you sound pretty sure. If you make a genuine 250rwkw you might be able to squeeze in an 11 although it all depends on how well you can drive... me for example i'm no racecar driver i'm hoping for 300 genuine rwkw and a low 12 lol... but everyone is different! It should make heaps more power than 250rwkw though on decent boost with that turbo!

im having it tuned with the stock high flowed turbo .. i need to drive it police hasle free over summer, im not interested in going to hard core for a couple months. mmmm ill have to look into getting a pic up of the tensioner to make sure. now u got me thinking ..... im not overly worried if it is as i have a RB30 block in the garage ... i just didnt want to use it yet. I see what you mean about pump, yer S1 + S2 different but im not to sure. Ill have to check ID plates but i think its an 1988 model .... ill take a pick and put it up tonight The reason i was thinking high 11's is i THINK its GAS 747 that made high 200rwkw and made a 10... mind you that was a well set up auto ... ill be bloody happy with a 12 .... Ill look to take it down calder the moment its out of the dyno room, however if you see it dont expect it to do the 11 .. ill be running it in full street trim .... street tyres, exhaust etc ... my main interest will be MPH ... id like to see 115mph, but at this stage its all spectulation. It could make a whole lot more or a whole lot less .... i dont know yet champ Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Sounds great man! Gas 747 did a 10 with around "270rwkw" i think, although that was on the Rajab dyno which reads far lower than most... i'm sure paul will tell you he has ripped numerous cars with "350rwkw bro!" What power are you hoping for with the monster turbo? Do you know the wheel/housing sizes? Looks like a monster man chase the 9s with that thing Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ahh ok .. so GAS747 may of had a little bit more ?? mmm yer i worked at HPF with some pretty heavy powered cars and some of the power figures can vary so much. I have always wated 500rwkw and thats why i went out all at once and got the thing... was really no point having "another" VLCT with a 35/40 it just wasnt going to do. Ill ditch the manual after the wedding and stick in a powerglide or trimatic (have trimatic + turbo 400 at home) Im not massive on quarter mile, however this may change when i get the bug haha. Id love something like PLATNUM, dyno queen, ocasional drag racing (has that thing ever ran??) but a very very classy cruiser. I have been called a few different thing going to big but i really dont care .... i have no intention of traffic light racing ... so if it takes me 4500rpm to spool so be it .... Not sure of wheel trim, all i know at this stage is 1.27 ex .96 comp ... ill see how it behaves on the dyno when its fitted and have been told by turbonetics + garret they can change the ex housing for more response for under $200 so its not a big deal. It was going on a Ford drag car 6cly but the project fell through, so i got a bargin. I wanted a GT45, i had one previously but ended up spoting this and brought it. hey guys some pics of the car gettign a new clutch my ****head mate did one hell of a job on it Up on stands Use to work at Mercedes so i scored a guard cover haha Hey Tim do you notice the NO OIL ALL OVER GARAGE, bloody office workers !!!!! Never ask your pissed mates to help NEVER let mates drive your car ... EVER !!!! Will post pics of the new clutch tomorrow when i get it. At this stage I need to get it all back together for Thursday so I can get the dyno tune done.... Will keep you all posted Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That clutch is looking pretty average what did your mate do to it? Slipped the **** out of it?

nahh thats not caused by ridding the clutch. Thats caused by tryign to change down to fast. The syncros in the gearbox accelarate the clutch plate stupid fast and it bretty much flings to bits. Ive only seen something like this once before, a guy change into 1st at 90kmh and when released the clutch nothing happened. After removing the gear box the clutch looked like this. My retard mate had the balls to add "no way i done that, it must of been like that before i drove it" ......... wonders will never cease !!
