The holden manuals say to lever them off, but this damages the slinger behind the gear.. Ive had ones that slide off and ones that fight by lions, theres no easy way to remove them unfortunately. Bought a set of keys $2ea and a slinger $3 from nissan today. Im going to drill and tap two 6mm threads 180 degrees opposite to each other into the end of the gear before i reinstall it so its easier to remove next time.
