Don't mention thankyou, its a sore point , , i originally did it, and angela decided to repaint it again when she was bored, and thats the result, and you can't fix it without a lot of work as suede doesn't cover black.

Go ask , its already at mawson lakes and somewhere else. My brother is also converting his gemini turbo over to E85 as we speak, went 11.6 at 116mph in FULL STREET TRIM before with a little garret gt2860 on Bp ultimate So should go heaps better now with the Gt30 .82 turbo /merge collector manifold and water injection with E85...no one likes getting beaten by a gemini **** its funny Fitting central locking the the R31 tomoz and apparently the motor is back form balancing and will be dummy assembled shortly to work out final clearancing/compression. cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Motor dummy assembled, all clearances are killer, slightly offset ground crank (motor is slightly stroked) has come up killer, final compression is 8.8.1 with cp's. A lot of ****ing around to get that much with those pistons with a 11cc dish without resorting to taking massive amounts of the head and ****ing the best condition head we have ever seen. Waiting for my camshaft etc to get back now so i can finish it. cheers darren

So do i, this thing has cost me money this time, no $2000 ****ter motor. Still cheap though compared to most peoples builds. Note to people building a vl/r31 from scratch.....If you fit a solid cam and a plenum that uses non factory runners etc, fule rails etc.....Buy a R26 head and plenum, i seriuosly doubt the build would be another $1000 to do it. A Rb26 head and plenum only end up costing what a fancy plenum/TB/ fuel rail setup cost these days..or less.. If you use a factory style runner and hydraulic cam then theres a big difference. If i was building a pure race motor i would probally do that, whats another 5 psi when your running 40 anyway...ha.ha cheers darren
