Yeah Mark Stokes is AK based - Click here for details (http://www.lvvta.org.nz/LVV%20Certifier%20List.pdf) Cost around $450 these days and you need to make sure everything on your car is up to standard as they don't just cert the turbo conversion

Well my diff was changed while someone at a dealership owned it (well, that's the story I was told) Yeah, I hope my springs and everything were done well.. so it's basically a very thorough WoF check? EDIT : So I've had a few thoughts.. First I was thinking of using the spare engine I'll get in a few weeks to build the turbo engine up with, then I thought I'd follow a guide on here and do it all inside the engine bay (take the head off, piece it together, put it back on) but now I've had the idea of taking a loose head (either the one off the spare engine, or buy an extra) doing work on it (ports and camshaft maybe?) then putting the turbo and things onto that, and swapping that on. So options are: 1. Whole engine swap (I could do bearings and things that way maybe) 2. Use original engine (I have a spare car to drive in the meantime) 3. Just build a head and swap that on. Anyone think one idea is better than the others? It's worth mentioning that I'm not certain the new engine is series 2, my current engine however is.

So I think I have the money to start buying parts now, what's best to start with? And which of the above options is best?

What have you done to it? DET or just ET? 3L still I assume. Not sure if standard brakes will pass it.. being able to stop well is always a good thing so an upgrade is worth it, and you don't want to have to pay for the inspection twice.

The standard brakes aren't that bad with a few simple but well thought out modifications, and an adjustment to your driving style. Im running stock 4 wheel discs, The only mods being DBA Slotted Front rotors, Genuine Holden Brakepads (VR/VS HSV part) and Castrol Response Fluid. a switch to V8 Calipers and Rotors would further improve things.
