19-10-07, 13:45 GMT+10#25 I have found the opposite, all the cams they have done for my 1G have been great, and have showed me a few things about design and picking profiles that have come in really handy. We did a cam swap in a customers VL from NQ and they picked up 30rwhp on the same boost.
I hadn't heard what problems you have had with yours NZ VLCT, I know Coran had problems with his retainers, as did one other person, colin's engine has the same big cam that you tried and at this stage hasn't had a problem, no valve bouncing, good power all the way past 7000rpm with the rajab intake, and 390rwhp on 19psi and pump fuel, way more than it used to make. Most people I know have one, including Tempest, OVL087, JetR31, CMY747, I also have them in 2 GTR engines and 2 2JZ's, and a 4g93 we did picked up 40kw at all 4 with a set of their 256 grinds...
People should probably elaborate more on their problems and fears/experiences, I understand we all hate being f ucked around or getting a sh1t product, but I've noticed as a community as a whole, people in the car industry are always looking for someone to blame when something goes wrong, but there are other with genuine arguments which I know yours would be one of them NZ VLCT, and direct experience may change this from what looks like just a bagging thread to a genuine problem they need to address, or reasons for people to shop elsewhere.
