mate the plate will be worth nothing, it's tacky as, the velvet and certificate mean zilch. The plate is nothing to do with brocky really, it's like an elvis tribute plate Sorry but that's the simple truth, that company puts out lots of similar stuff and 'claims' collectibility re the nest egg: the only thing worth $ down the track would be a genuine Brock car or similar items, NOT something designed simply to cash in genuine Brock people wouldn't be even slightly interested in trinkets like that Buy some decent shares for your son instead

It's no one's fault Brocky died, so people shouldn't be labelled as "capitalising" on his death, if they want too buy something with his name on it. That's a bit wrong too assume, because I can guarentee most people buy this stuff simply because they're a fan of his, and don't want too make money off it. I bought a VL SS Group A (1:64), VK SS Group A (1:43) and VK SS Group 3 (1:43) all from Biante, with no intentions of ever making money off them, and I know how much they sell for, even without a signature. I bought them for the simple reason, that I love Brock Commodores, and could never afford a real one so I got the next best thing. Anyway maybe it's a bit weird, but it's his decision what he wants too do, with his money and life.

Not specifically you, but your son. So in a sense you still want money to be made on them? yes? no? is that not being greedy?

Or invest in something that will actually be worth something one day... Shares, Investment Housing, a Compound Interest Account, there are so many ways man which will get you a much higher Profit Margin... And its a lot safer, things like this rarely gain much value. Honestly.

Ok, this is going way off topic. Brocky was a hero to many, and not all of us are young. Many of us are old enough to have grown up watching the man race, met the guy in person, and some of us even shed a few tears when he died. Wouldn't it be better just to raise your son with the same sort of stories we all heard from our old mans? There's passionate, then there's obsessed. Save your money, invest it, then buy your son something Brock made.

I wasn't going to join this forum but your attacking my family and that's just not on. Keep to the subject of the topic which as I said is "My Peter Brock LE Plate" and leave my son's name out of it. What is writen under 09WNS signature is up to him and you do not have the right to badmouth him. I'm surprised you left the F word out!!!

I cant get over the fact that random people actually give a damn about what someone is doing with their life. Get over it, everyones different so let this guy do what the hell he wants. Thread should be closed.

BTW, he's already 2 and a half, he'll be 3 in January. As a rev-head myself, I have been into cars for a long time and now my 13yr old is into cars but supras are his choice of car. As for little Brock, the first day we brought the commodore home he called it his car without anyone prompting him to say anything.

I agree this thread should be locked. It's a shame, because I'm sure 09WNS means well, but not much good can come out if people are mocking what he does with himself or what he names his son.
