Obviously, when a cars underload it requires more fuel then it would in neutral or no load so that could explain why it can rev out in neutral and not in gear.
A ****ed fuel pump, blocked filter and regulator is all I can think of. Ill do these eventually when it gets back on the road.

16-09-07, 17:32 GMT+10#22 yeah filters get blocked really easily, from carbon particles from both pumps,
rubbish from the bowser when they clean the tanks, polymerisation products
from injector cleaners etc Your Fuel Pressure Regulator may also have a
faulty spring that just cant close up the valve when the pressure changes
a lot etc The in tank strainer is prone to squashing, the high pressure pump
is prone to wear etc etc

23-11-13, 02:05 GMT+10#23 im having a similar problem with my vlt. It revs to 3000 @ 5psi then it coughs and splutters, and after nearly cutting out it climbs the revs again and makes 10psi as it should.
Any suggestions ?
