Whilst a novel idea for sure, personally, I think its pretty stupid. Why would you do that rather than just run a turbo/cooler up front? I can't think of any advantages to doing so. You have the extra weight of all that piping, the plumbing issues (running oil/water lines) back there, the extra lag (might be minimal but the turbine has to do that extra little bit of work to fill all the plumbing with compressed air again once you open the throttle), the list goes on. I run a N/A converted setup myself and for a street car it's pretty good. Awesome low end driveability, I get 10km/L on the highway and it still has good pull. I'm not sure what sort of power i'm making now (made 140rwkw on 6psi) now that i'm running 12psi but she gets up and goes. Been running like a dream (bar a dead CAS) for 6 months At the end of the day if you're chasing big power with normal fuels you are going to have to lower the compression, although you can cheat a bit by lowering the effective comp ratio with cam/cam timing changes etc. For a street car with 200-250rwkw high comp is the only way to go I reckon Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
