one of my mates got EPA'd and they ripped him a new ass hole best thing to do is to get a N/A engine and do the old switcherooni....its also cheaper aswell.....depends what you have exactly done to your engine....but its the best option, just find a good yet cheap mechanic to help

ive been to epa dont stuff them around and dont try and hide things because trust me they will find it there not stupid and if u lie and hide things they can make things very hard for you. If your vl has only few simple mods then just put it back to stock. You can keep your intercooler as your aloud 1 intake mod or keep your pod but would be easier just to leave the intercooler on put back your air box remove the catch can and boost controller make sure your pollution gear is all connected properly. Change your exhaust to stock one and make sure you have a proper cat on aswell. Do all that and you should be ok Also if you want to be extra safe and save the hassle of going back if you fail even get it on dyno to make sure its not running rich.

to all the people who said i deserve a 10 grand fine for no cat then your just stupid. 1st of all i didn't gut it, it was already like that. secondly if your that concerned about the pollution from my car then you must flip out when you see factories pouring out smoke or oil refinerys burning off excess gas, you must hate drag racing too with all the cars with screamer pipes and no exhuast etc. also if i keep the cooler do i have to put the afm back in front of the cooler

yeah cant have the afm in the cooler pipe as the pressurised air in the afm ritchens the a/f mixture

i went out to the epa testing facility today for a noise test on my vl, which is now off the road and almost ready for a full respray. i had to stick a standard exhaust from my daily vl and standard air cleaner and the noise test read my "standard" exhaust at 87db. Finally in the clear with the cops. lol, until my vl gets back on the road lol!!!

I understand where your coming form but i was not pulled up for being to loud, the cops didn;t say anything about my exhuast at all. I only recently discovered the cat had been gutted because my car got a rwc and that was never mentioned. It was only the other day when I thought i would give it a tap to see. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

They thought I had BOV. but what they heard was compressor surge. and no haven't got the letter yet only got pulled up last thurs. the epa is ****d, i had an epa on my car for the exhaust, i had to go to a place in tulla to get a noise test. the results came back as 90db and the bloody legal limit is 90! and the exhaust i had on while the test was done was a factory exhaust
