Secondly we're smart enough to know what these media outlet's are like and that appearing on their show will lead to nothing but trouble. It was stupid of him to agree to the interview and an even bigger mistake to say the things he said. 290km/hr on a public road? He doesn't deserve to be on the road? Pretty stupid no matter how you look at it Good night

I think the bloke was a ****wit regarless of what his friends think of him. What did he think was gunna happen when ACA wanted to interview him, give him a freakin reward for being a tosser, of course not. Lock him up.

Can they crush ppls cars without giving them compensation or something but? I dont understand how that is legal Is it purely cause uve commited a serious enough offence and the car becomes the property of the police/government and they can do what they see fit with it Thats the thing that I thought was stupid Doing this will never stop ppl from doing illegal things. They say we arnt scared of cops anymore. I dunno about the rest of u but i try to avoid cops, last thing i want is to be pulled over I dont believe that would stop anything but thats just my opinion

ok guys.. ****... relax, the guy made a stuff up doing the interview and it made him look like a wanker.. butive known him for a while this guy is like every single one of us car enthusiasts who has a modified car, the cars he has owned im sure were capable of doing 290km/h but thats not the point, ok the guy ****ed up, im sure he knows that now, relax, if it wasnt him who did the interview then it would have been some1 else who they made a fool of. so id relax a bit

I doubt that it will reach the point of crushing cars, sure they did it in the states but thats because its i fu*ked up place. Consider all the finanace that has been taken out to buy cars, that the loan stays with the car, if you were to cush the car then what will happen?

You guys all baging him dunt even know him his like everyone else thats into cars except he can admit to it, not like the majority of the people on this forum who dont say anything but we all know it we've all sped at one stage, done burnouts and other stupid ****... Jono if u read this, gw you looked like a cutie!!

yer have to agree i have a driving record as good as this jono fellow lol, but never been to 290k's crazy! lets face it how much trouble is it to get to the drag track couple hours away and burn it up and only once a week. much easier to give it a boot out the driveway. govt should be supporting more off street racing with funding. not going wrecking perfectly good cars, just auction them off, that'll teach em. i dont see the harm if jono is on a open road with no one in sight then go for it the only person he is going to kill is himself. no matter what you do or say there will always be "hoons". i wouldnt be talking to the media again though, at least his famous Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No-one bagging him is claiming to be an angel but have half a brain when discussing this type of stuff with the media...as some said, he's not a puppet whether they edited it or not, he still said it at some stage during the interview...and to those that dont think crushing will be introduced in EXTREME cases for repeat offenders....dont kid yourselves, i bet 10 years ago everyone was saying the same thing about confiscation and impounding laws.......

Road toll affects everyone mate...He may not kill others while doing excessive speeds, but what about the trama emergency staff go through when they rock up to a car crash. Sure we've all sped, burnouts etc. But when you get someone like this Jono guy at 19yrs old who has huge driving record, they should lose there licence for at least a few years and jailed for at least a few months. Famous?!?!......What for looking like a complete jerk off.

I've said that for years. If the govt wants people not to do this sh!t on the road, build us a few more strips. If a state to only have 1 dragstrip, of cause people are going to drag on the street. Maybe it's a lead by example thing. I know I've reported at least one guy to the cops for doing burnouts in my street. Asked him not to do it on a few occasions, even pointed him to the industrial areas. Gave him a last warning that I was going to take pics of him doing it if I saw him bag it up again. He did, so did I, then a few weeks later the po po confiscated his car. It was a **** of a thing to do, but so is risking killing some little kid. He didn't do it again...
