Yeah ive looked at a few cars from this website from a few "well known" members and they were dodgey cars, i even got the old "Yeah mate my grandfathers owned it since new ect" go to check it out and the strut numbers look like they'd been ingraved with a scribe. Buying a vlt in sydney you'd have to know what your looking at. But as for having no tags, make sure the strut tower number matches with the one on the rego papers and after a inspection at the RTA they will give you police numbers, but gl ever trying to sell it, keen buyers will be turned off thinking its a stolen\recovered car. Let us know how you go anyway.
i know it sounds harsh, but in the end you know if the car is worth looking at or not by the price and the sound of the guy on the phone half the time. If it's a "genuine calais turbo" for 7k and the guy on the phone sounds like the new kid at the local Kebab shop.. chances are you're just wasting your time

if unsure-dont buy it-simple
this topic has been covered a couple of times with the same outcome's

what happens if the seller does not have the cash to get it ready for rego-maybe thats why he or she is selling it?

theirs some weird people out their with some killer cars and they dont even have $1.00 to their name-
if it needs a lot of cash spent on it and nothing happens-its either 2 things
owner has got no cash or owner knows something we don't
then some-one with a brain will work out the right answer-
