If you reckon this VL turbo is really mint and you have somewhere to store it then why not buy it and then just buy a run around car. in 3 years time a factory mint calais turbo would probably rise in value. But 1 thing is for certain drive a VL and you WILL definately get pulled over at some stage. Funny that...i was pulled over by a cop a few months ago and he said to me "i pulled you over because your driving a commodore, and commodore drivers are normally up to no good". Wtf is that???

Wtf is that??? VL's are a frequently stolen car... and because of their age, are usually a defective car also

No matter what car you drive on your P's you will be pulled over... Stick by the laws and just get yourself a car that is not turbocharged... Just remember no matter what your always learning on the roads even when you have been driving for a long time... It comes down to common sense on the roads... But most forget that and goes out the drivers window once they get behind the wheel of a car when they are on there own... No matter if your young or old... Want to learn how to control your car etc go do some driving courses it does help...

buy the vl... pull the engine out and build a monster while u dump a n/a in it for the meantime..or buy a peice of **** and just drive the vl sometimes...it all depends were u go i think..but saying that im still on my L's and ive had a hwy patrol right behind me in my vk bt1 on princess hwy and havent bin pulled over so it put it down to luck but sooner or later ull get caught...specially if ur down chapz at 1 on a satnight all windows down with 5 of ur mates in the back,. thats just asking for trouble.

buy it a turn it into a project car, trust me it will take you at least 3 years to finish and when its done you'll have a mad car to step into

You could buy a P-plater friendly car and modify that. Honda Civic with a B18 will look stock and still be a pretty fast car.

i agree with guys above... get a shmick n/a, get another motor and build it up to what you want ready to drop in when you get off your P's... Not saying your a **** driver or anything but ive seen to many mates behind turbo's and v8's write cars off not long after getting there P's... get expericence first with just cruising around
