well im very very happy for you that you have 'touched' your car so much. i never said it would make a huge difference or anything, its an OPTION and im sure alot of others are reading the thread and doing budget buildups that just wanna know some cheap ideas. no one in there right mind would expect slotted stock rotors to be out of the ordinary good. anyway enough comparing budget build up brakes to no budget brakes.

wow i think ive started world war 3 here. but thanks for all ur help. i can see both sides of VLHERO & AFG-WPN tho. i was only going to run between 7-11psi on my N/A convertion (coz im not sure if its safe to run any more) i did like what vlhero said about seat belts thats true but like afg-wpn said, maybe i dont need big brakes for what power i would get from low psi that im running?

You got it in one nobody cares and cars are like women just cause you have touched them doesn't mean you know what your doing.. at the end of the day it doesn't matter how much power you have its all about how you intend to drive the car if you plan to drive at 200 all day then put big brakes on. but if you are going to cruise around town like nanna then just upgrade as far as you need to to stay legal.. So tell us azzaturbo.. what do you do with the car is it a daily? a weekend cruiser? or do you intend to drive the ass off it and maybe take it to the track? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Have you done the brakes yet and are you satisfied with what you got?

considering putting on VT's are illegal hmmmm makes you wonder. For a proper VT twin spot conversion u need to change your master cylinder to a 1 1/16th so as to gain a proper pedal feel. a 15/16 or even a 1" will not be sufficient and give you a shockin pedal feel. I currently have stock N/A brakes and im going to VLT with braided lines and slotted rotors. Ive driven a few VL's and all with the turbo gear with braided lines those suckers pull up damn well. There comes a point where brakes are too large and will just cause lock ups if you hit the brakes hard instead of feathering. I dunno about all of you but ive been in a few cars where a guys first reaction is to stab the brakes and my farking word if they had serious braking systems all they would induce is a skid rather than proper braking.

Another thing to consider with brakes (as Lazyass mentioned earlier) is the firewall flex. In a VL commodore it's absolutely shocking, 3mm+ easily under high pressure and that does woeful things to pedal feel. From the factory the master cylinder has this token little galvanised steel (1.2mm) folded bracket that's attatched to the strut tower in an attempt to 'stop' this and locate the end of the MS. In reality it does nothing. When I did the rear disc conversion on my car I made up a beefier little bracket to replace this one and it made a huge difference. See below (PS I know my engine bay is hella dirty ) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It is a good conversion for a street car however.

Dude stop using up my valuable oxygen. So far no one listens to a word you have said because you have little to zero credibility. You dont know very much at all about anything. half the time you sit there and wait till someone smarter than you posts then take what they say and modify it just slightly to make yourself seem just smart enough to look good. PLEASE for the love of God and all things holy stop posting.

PLEASE for the love of God and all things holy stop posting. Lay off the crack man It's amazing how you know all about me without knowing me at all though I must say. I didn't modify anything to make myself look good or smart. I know for a fact that either of those setups wouldnt be much chop for a serious race car, the rotor size just isnt big enough for such an application. I am credible, I've done this conversion myself and have assessed its performance every time Ive driven the car since. I'm also a big fan of doing things properly the first time, thus saving money and wasted effort. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were a 13 year old kid with no friends and nothing better to do at night. It would certainly explain your poor use of the english language and pointless attempts to obstruct my advice to others, which mind you is based on real life knowledge and exprience. Clearly something you have demonstrated you don't have through your inability to provide any proper advice or assistance to others. For gods sake boy, grow up!

Hey mate I would hate to tell you that my english is pretty damn good. Reason being I speak 3 different languages, so grammar and punctuation is one of my fortes. Just its the internet and most of the time I just cant be bothered. NOW lets sort this crap out about me talking **** about you. Its not **** its down to the wire spot on. You dont post anything of value, I spend quite a bit of time clarifying the bull**** you talk, deciphering what is actually useful and what is absolute garbage. Each thread I post in has a logical and simple solution and generally im spot on, I normally say if im not 100%.

ok i'll put my 2c in. go get yourself a set of VLT slotted rotors, a set of braided lines, VLT master and get some from memory HX/HZ pads (i think) grind a little of the pad and whack them in. they have a bigger surface area than the std VLT pads and will make your car stop very well. and yes the lines are illegal but its not the first thing the police will look for. so if someone could confirm the exact pads to use then end of story. VLHERO, sometimes i actually wonder about where you get your info from.
