yeah there was a white vl (sith) and a purple calais turbo over the back they were ok i think next yr a few of us maybe 5 shold invade those pos skylines and show them a real car with a jap motor haha im going in for sure!!!

skylines r cool... if done up right and in a non-rice fashion like that purple R34 GTR with the black RAYS TE37 rims... that thing was fk'n haaaawt, it was at the xspeed stand i think, and the engine bay was good, and it looks asif it makes good power. i wouldnt wanna see vls in the shows too much, thats wat motorvation is for i just wanna see ppls faces when they see twin cam'd vls there was an r32 with a sohc RB30!! lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Genki, I wasn't having a go at you at all. I agree, what I'm asking is if that the case, should the "ricers" be at MV??? IMO MV is starting to become a ricer type event, more than a "bogan" aussie event. That is just MY opinion, and I'm certainly not suggesting that it is correct. So what does everyone think?

i think everyone needs to realise what market autosalon is aimed at and realise that not everyone wants a hardcore track car... Alot of people going to those shows want to see riced up pieces of ****, sure it doesnt float my boat either, but horses for courses... You obviously didnt pay very close attention to many of the cars, mate of mine had a 180sx there with a 2jz and HKS T51R, one had a ca18 that made 515rwhp on the dyno, not bad for a 1.8 litre... That GTR you spoke about is another friend of mine, makes close to 1000hp Im takin my VL to salon when its finished, simply to school some of the people there that holden isnt a 'bad word'. Im also gonna roll up to motorvation and show these skyline pilots how to do a real skid. Any car shows a good show imo. bring it all on.
