20-07-07, 06:38 GMT+10#21 The Hains would be probably 2500-3000kg all up on a trailer, so not as big as your boat. We can do 100 up a big hill, and I think you will find the NZ is more hilly than OZ
My brother is into fishing more than me... he mostly free dives and shoots snapper with a spear gun these days. Most times he goes out there is at least one 20lb+ snapper
Ive only been out game fishing a few times and only caught small stuff. Blue Fin Tuna would be fun!

20-07-07, 10:02 GMT+10#23 100 series land cruisers are nice. Cant complain about the nissan navara's either. Supposedly the new hilux's are pretty posh too. I drove a 90's model and it was good but didnt have the pick up of the other 2.

22-07-07, 19:29 GMT+10#30 ayyys all, sorry been away for the weekend and couldnt reply. Those r soem good pics, nice big snapper. biggest weve got is bout 9 kg, dnt know the pounds though. im not 100% sure how much our boat weighs but its bloody damn heavy. Trailers comign along good, needs to have the brakes put on, and then needs the galvinising. LOL, i wish we could pull that quick up hills, its a pain in the ass when you do 11+ hours trips and u tow 20 kays per hour up hill, and were pretty patient too, thats also flat to the ground, and on 4500-5000 revs outa 6000, not to safe, but its either that or we dont fish
We cant just get any car with heaps of power, it needs to be a prety heavy car aswell and one thats pretty big. lol, our friends have offered us 350's, 383's, 454's, but were looking for the car, power come after that. In a couple of weeks ill be able to tell u how it goes.
ANK - lol @ get a vl, but in the pic, that vl's not towing it, the trailer dosnt even have wheels, lol, good try though, nd i would love to see a vl tow it, because it will do **** alll.
thnx for ur reply boyss.

23-07-07, 08:28 GMT+10#31 I would say if your boats that heavy you are going to need more than twin 140s to move it. Tow car is the least of your worries

damnn,, u know how much these r going for? a single 300 hp or sumthing would b good, but if u got twins and one breaks down 60 kays out in the sea, u can slowly still come bak in one, its only for safety, lol.
