You'll have to double your budget, I've got 8K (that's just totalling together components that cost $100 or more) worth sitting on the shelf and it's not installed or tuned yet....If I get kissed on the dik by a fairy it may, I say again may, make 300RWKW.

At the moment im under the impression that $3500 will cover gas tank and convertors and throttle body and whatever else they wack on for the gas system to be complete/installed. Could you post a list of the other $3500 worth of gas parts ill be missing. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

3500 should get you a standard tank (220rwkw limit), lockoffs, converters, throttlebody, installed and tuned so it runs ok. To take the next step you have to add the extras. Tank modification Alcohol / water injection Low resistance Ignition Leads Plenum Cam / springs / lifter blocks ECU Efficient Turbo There's 4500 there without blinking.

Cheers

http://www.gas-injection.com/news-lp...ies.html#link1 (http://www.gas-injection.com/news-lpg-gas-injection-technologies.html#link1) power goes up with gas injection, remember its well over 100 octane, is very cold too its better than petrol

yes u can get the gas setup for under 5G but thats just for the gas conversion/lpg system. if u want the car to actually be able to handle up to 300 RWKW, ur gonna need a lot more then 5G Then you need to find someone who can actually tune it for that power... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

if you were building a purpose built gas motor wouldn't you go a bit crazy on the compression?

Think i didnt make my self clear at the start, my limit is only for the gas setup and ignition side of things as i already have a built motor, tailshaft and diff, so i know first hand what it costs to build everything up to the stage it needs to be. At this point i just want to know what parts you guys out there have found that works. Ive been told to use 2x b2 gas research convertors with 2 seperate lines from tank and gas research throttle body and a ice ignition system. would the following setup be up for 300rwkw or just a waste of coin? Also can anyone fill me in about the difference in a microtech ignition system and this ice system they speak of ? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

$5k will cover parts no worries, duno how much a tank for twin lines will set u back but cant see it being too much t/b is around $500 converters are around $200each tanks are usualy around $200-$300 i think? and tuning can be exspensive labour shouldnt be more than $1.5k it all adds up but isnt gonna cost millions lolt he quotes u er quoted above seemed to be bout right.

U might wanna double check ur standard tank power limit, coz I got dyno figures that dont agree.

Why do people go twin B2 convertors? Bit over kill no? Surely a model E impco will suffice. A model E impco is good enough for a constant 325HP or 500HP for a 1/4 mile blast (however many seconds). It's not like you will be driving flat stick for long distances or lengths of time. I will be testing this soon enough and if it works as predicted I will save the costs on 2nd line, 2nd convertor & 2nd lock off. IF it prooves wrong then nothing lost as I can always add the extras. Costs involved: Single model E convertor $200 440cfm gas research throttle body $440 Lock off $60 Tank $500 Installed $800 including new lines Even less if you use 2nd hand parts. I have had several conversions done for less than $2000 since the grant came out and ended up with cash in my pocket afterwards.

Hey do you know any guys that do conversions with GRA 2nd hand stuff and give the grant?

Any & every LPG installer will give you the paperwork for the grant whether you use new or used parts. So long as new lines are used and the system is fitted by a qualified installer than there is no problems recieving the grant.

i ended up with 2 converters by accident lol won a single one ebay then a few dys later a t/b and converter popped up, so figured may as well have the 2 just incase! ended up paying $570 for the lot so thought *** it! and the grant is pretty well set up, u could spend $50 one second hand parts, install it urself and get a licensed workshop to connect the lines and make sure its all legit, charge u $20 and ull still get the $2k. seems alrite to me! lol

With this ICE ignition system ive found out they use the 7amp system wich they said PANNIC uses and is more than enough for a street car on gas. I enquired about there 10amp system and he said id be melting coils all day trying to drive it on the street and is for sub 8 second cars. So deffinatly going the 7amp route since rajab swear by it over cdi systems.

A single lined tank can only flow around 220rwkW, regardless of the amount of converters. If you have a 4 valve APA tank you can now buy a second outlet. This allows in theory 440rwkW from a single tank. It also means no illegal mods to safety features etc P.S I had a fitter tell me he would not use 2nd hand parts and if I did I wouldnt recieve the grant(which i know from a mate to be complete Bull****), and he was a recommended fitted on the GRA website. Anyone know a good fitter on the westside?
