Sorry for this question, what is the T04 out of? I've heard it was out of a REX but isn't that a bit small?

T04 comes in many form but it is generally used to describe the majority of turbos larger than a T3 running oil feed only, from memory the T04b is the smallest straight T04 turbo?

the to4b is and older blade and flow design, to4e is an updated design, the new one is the to4z. Mine is heaps bigger then the old t3. its a master power (brazilian) externally wastegated turbo. lol

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'm curious how fast a automatic VL is? Is an auto bad? I'm currently looking for a VL but finding a manual VL calais is impossible. I don't want to be called a pussy and s*** for driving an auto. A mate at work is currently driving an 3speed auto VL and that thing is very slow. His building his turbo motor and going to change to a manual. So should I just get a auto and just convert it later? Sorry for off-topic.

just convert one over, Auto VL turbos are faster but manual ones are more fun, so you need to decide if you are more about street or strip.
