5-10s in the morning is nothing, It takes a good 5mins to let an engine warm up anyway.

if your all complaining of 5 or so seconds i guess i should be worried mine will tick in the mornings it comes and goes wile its ideling i normally let it sit for 3 or 4 mins in the morning then drive and the lifters tick wilst driving and reving for a good 3 or 4 mins of driving then there gone untill the engine goes cold again apart from the lifters the rest of the engine is fantastic so i dont really know weather to get a new engine or just a reco head cheers elliot

twitch switch to a thicker oil and it should clear it right up if it isn't too bad, don't bother changing the lifters, good genuine ones are hard to find, and aftermarket ones are ****house they start ticking terribly very soon.

dont put a cam in your car then. ive gone through 2 sets of aftermarket ones and then put in genuine ones didnt have a problem after that. Mine ticks on startup all the time, its because the oil has to fill up the lifter again cause of the harder valve springs i use. But recently i got low on oil so i had to use some cheaper sh!t to top it up instead of the ELF one i was using (cause i ran out) and now they tick all the time even when driving. Have to stick some linisher in it agaiin and decent oil and it should solve the problem once my cars back on the road. So dont worry its normal.
