mmm dunno, how much are they worth. I'm not sure whether or not to take mine to a turbo specialist for him to check it out, charge me for checking it out then fixing it or to just buy another t3 n chuck it on (if its in good working order)

Yea I know but funds is a big factor atm. I'm sure it's my wastegate staying open. But god knows how much that would cost to fix.

Buy my link plug in ECU with hand controller and you can run it standard or tune it and get the most out of your standard setup, ECU and controller and map sensor for $1000.00

If you get the Link plug in ECU it fits into the same place as the standard computer, and you only have to get the map sensor wired in,
This will allow you to do the following:
* get rid of the airflow meter
* Run more boost
* Tune the car for fuel and boost maps to suit= more power safely
* With the Airflow meter gone you can run Front Mount intercooling piping easier.
Better than standard and will sell it to you with handcontroller etc for $850 for the lot, would cost easily $1800.00 to buy

thanks for the offer kris that's a good deal but im a bit short on money at the mo having just spent 4k to do the turbo conversion. plus its running a hi comp setup so 8psi is probably the max i could run. cheers anyway.

I think the factory setup on the turbo ECU was 12psi so it may not solve your problems at least this way you can tune boost and fuel maps to 8psi @ 160kw and then have the ability to run 26psi @ 400kw later on. With the standard ECU you my find that it will run really rich as you cant tune fuel and actually lose power.
Just some things to think about and a really good sales pitch, also Kw figures are rough estimates but you get the picture.
Great to see someone doing it them selves and all the best, we all need to do things in stages even rich people dream of having more money, Cheers Kris

I remember one time on my old VLCT one of the nuts that held the turbo on came off, fell down and jammed the waste gate closed while driving along, it was pretty un drivable when it's trying to boost to 20psi!! haha managed to save the engine though.
