When my VLT was on the road (last set up) I use to pull the fuel pump relays (twin 044s) and pull the haltec relay out. pretty much not going anywhere then. They would have to find the haltec relay (it was in a CU*t of a spot). It ****ted me off doing that all the time, but i hated the idea of some prick stealing my car!

Parking at a uni i think u should b fine. i dunno the layout of ur uni, but during the day there r always people coming and going from their cars, like dixie said i'd just be worried about doors being opened into it. But in a busy carpark which people are walking through frequently, and its in the middle of the day, think u'l b rite. PS. played a funni game yesterday at uni. sat at the tables with my mate just overlooking the 15min express carparks, and everytime somebody looked at or walked near his wrx, we flicked the alarm button on his remote. Immature yes....but god it was funni

Yeah, well i am at latrobe and i have never ever seen security driving round the joint, however as said before i reckon i could be out to the carpark within about 1min of a pager going off, so i guess it wouldnt be so bad...LOL @ alarm game Thanks for the input so far guys, keep it coming!

i drive mine to uni 3 out of 4 days, no dramas, but im paranoid about scratches and stuff so im very very picky. i take it to work but its locked underground, so its piece of mind tho, doesnt make u less paranoid

my mate lives in a less than reputable area and has no choice but to park his vl out on the street, so he just pulls an ignition lead out when he parks it

i drove mine around for 3 years as my daily, got broken into twice, a few badges stolen, but aprt from that it was all good. Both times the car alarm went off and i was able to get out there quick enough to scare them away without taking anything. just keep an eye on it is my advice, but dont go live under a rock cause your scared of the sun

I leave mine unlocked across the road from my work. Never had any trouble, but then again my shop is fairly well "endorsed" by various biker clubs and everybody in town knows that, so it's safe to leave a wallet on the seat with the windows down... Just install a kill switch and immob. Uni car parks arent that bad, I've parked at two different ones every day for a year each, and at Kangan Batman in Richmond and never had any trouble. PS - Mine's a ****ter so nobody would probably bother. Still a turbo though...

umm if they want to steal it they will steal it. Good theives come armed with all the tools they need and no normal alarm/immobiliser or beefed up locks will stop them, its their trade. The only way to go is to have a good insurance policy.
