Any backlash experienced because of the Lokka is due to the cross shaft needing to engage and disengage the cam gears.

Its in! And I've just been for a drive in it!! First impressions: 1. Drives sorta like a minispool during very tight turns at low revs. Shudders a bit but no chirping. 2. Ratcheting seems loud inside the car but apparently not loud outside. 3. Unlocks at every given opportunity, even gentle curves in the road, so good for tyre wear. 4. Under throttle its sideways, sideways, sideways! 5. WOOOOOOOOO F*CK YEAH!! And now for the real stuff. I wouldn't recommend this if your are after a quiet and gentle ride, the ratcheting is VERY noticeable, and the street driveability is somewhat decreased. However, if you can handle the extra noise from the rear end and your car isnt some kind of luxury cruiser then this is definitely a great alternative to an LSD. Overall, I'm very impressed! On a side note, put Redline Lightweight Shockproof in both my gearbox and diff. My 2nd gear synchro problem has been cleared up completely! Absolutely awesome stuff! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No I haven't t be honest, but to me its not about whats tolerable, its about not breaking axles and rooting tyres. And yes I can tolerate it, but many others probably couldnt.

I didn't do the installation of the Lokka itself, as easy as it would have been I just paid the guys that were going to setup the backlash and mesh anyway. The instructions that come with it are fairly comprehsive though, and its simply a matter of centring the Lokka within the carrier by using the correct thickness thrust washers. The ratchet noise is anytime it needs to unlock, so anytime you deviate more than a couple of degrees off a dead straight line. As for donuts, I can sit there with the car pivotting on a front wheel for a long as I want and it will only unlock when I back off. If I want to keep going I just step on it again and it locks back up Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
